Today I bought a nitefinder ex3 because I needed parts for my nite manta. When I opened it to get the part, it was all glued together. I used goof off and acetone and it just melted the plastic. Now I am out $9.50, any suggestions to help.

Btw: The part I am looking for is the part inside the plunger tube that had the circle in the center with the 3 lines connecting it to the outside, and also the piece directly attached to it.

Most people don't use anything near that thick, so I am curious as to what you are up to? I'd offer to sell you some, but alas... I used all that I had when I upgraded the bullet proof glass on my pope-mobile.

So, you destroyed your gun already... What is there to help you with?

It isn't completely destroyed, what I am asking is how do you get the glue off.

Build a new plunger tube.

I just needed the piece to epoxy on a cpvc coupler.

If the piece you want isn't completely destroyed try dipping it in boiling hot water.

What draconis suggested is completely correct. Build a new plunger tube. Yes, I know that you are looking for the air restrictor to glue a coupler onto, but if you go to Petco, buy 1 inch PETG Tubing, and then glue a coupler onto it, you have new plunger tube with a coupler and a better air seal

Thanks for the help, I will do that now and post my results. Just one question, how do you get it to stay in the gun without it turning.

If the entire thing is held in by the gun shell, it won't matter if it turns.

I had the same experience, so i just drilled the ars. The next time you buy a nite finder don't get the one with a orange and black logo, get the one with a yellow logo.

Either rough up the the two spots on the PETG that the NF PT had the small pieces that held it on and epoxy on 2 square washers, or wrap it in duct tape in 2 spots until it's veryyyyy tight in the gun, and you'll be good.

Just hot glue the plunger tube to the shell.

The yellow balls are also slightly smaller in diameter than the green ones.

Use brake fluid... or perhaps gasket remover. Or my personal favorite, the mini butane blow torch! That will thing will remove the gay from of Clay Aiken. But seriously, pictures help us to understand the problem. You can't replace the plunger tube if its glued to the gun, and it may not even be destroyed.

So you blew almost 10 dollars on a little part that you don't need? Just e-tape around the coupler, and epoxy it right into the plunger tube.

Some pictures I quickly took of my almost finished NF rifle:

It is 1 inch PETG, with and e-taped cpvc coupler in the end, then a pvc coupler over than. Drilled a hole through the entire thing, then gooped it all. Hope this helps.

Drill two holes through the back of the plunger tube, near the end, and then drill the same size holes through the shell. Make sure the holes are right next to the spring rest. Then just bolt it in place. The plunger tube should stay perfectly in place.
