Many people are saying to get the Longshot Air restrictor out, you gotta get out the spring mechanism and rip out the little circular piece in the barrel to get the piece out. I took apart my Longshot. I carefully disassembled the firing mechanism and removed the launching tube. I got the big spring out. Problem is, the circular piece inside shielding the air restrictor is glued in to the sides -_-. Pliers, using a screwdriver to break the glue, nothing's working. Now what??

Oh yes, this is my first post ^^

(To clear things up, the circular piece I'm referring to is the piece inside the dart launching mechanism that should come out right after the spring.)

I drill through mine... You're referring to the piece that stops the plunger head right?

a 1/2" drill bit will do you fine in the exact place that he's talking about. Alternatively, if you have a VERY long 1/2" bit, you could go strait through the front where the dart is loaded.

Hope this helps,

Whisper...

Someone else had a good method for this, though I can't find it or remember if it was for the Longshot or Raider. Regardless: pipe cutters

These babies give you a nice clean cut all around that glued seam so you don't end up trashing your guns internals

Are there 3 pieces of plastic coming out of the center piece, connecting it to the outer ring? If you snip those pieces with pliers or anything else the restrictor should come out easy.

As umpshaplapa said. If you look into the rear of the plunger tube, you can see 3 prongs connecting a central circle to the outer ring. just slide the barrel/breach all the back into the plunger, grip one of the prongs with some needle-nosed pliers, and twist till it snaps. Reapeat for the other 2, and then the AR's will fall out nicely. It also leaves a good 'shelf' for adding a foam gasket or craft foam layer for silencing.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?
