My best friend? Since when? Longshots are serviceable at best with heavy modification, and miserable piles of jamming and snapped boltsleds at worst. I scrapped mine for parts back in January, and I haven't given the decision anything close to a second thought since.

Can all of you that are not in this thread to show off your long shot please shut the fuck up? the reason the show off the ls threads always get shut down is due to failboat fucks that want to do nothing but backseat mod and gripe that LS's don't deserve a thread.. now post up some LS's or move along.

Thanks BSS. I thought it was a cool way to re-use a cool old broken toy hero. I found the broken Optimus trailer at a yard sale. I am working on another dorky Transformers-theme LS now, pics soon.

It has a 17/32 angel breach, relocated bolt, recon spring, sliver details etc.

huh.. I never thought to relocate there. Thats great thinking. So what it goes thru the hole that usually connects the sled to the bolt?

may as well jump in here.

my bloved (cleaned up) carbine



cut down the middle and re-positioned the front to eliminate the large hole.
basic internal mods done.

works best with streamlines. stefans get jammed pretty easily in here.
usually keep a flip clip in it and several extras in a small bag i carry with me.

(P.S. @nerfrogue83 mad props for integrating broken transformers. guess ive got a new objective for my next project!)

Actually, no. The way I have it set up is by using the tab that is underneath the jam door. So the hole in the jam door is drilled directly behind the back of the boltsled. So when you pull on the bolt, the tab on the bottom of the jam door will pull the breach back, and the bolt itself pushes it back forward. I'll throw up some pictures soon.

Very elementary mods, and no other colouring scheme or else I wouldn't have been able to use it in HvZ (in actuality, I had to grab an orange bolt handle and grey stock too before being approved to use in the game).



AR out, AR-15 spring replacement, some putty reinforcement on boltsled, pvc stock block. With a good streamline shot, maybe 70 feet max (have no measured, sorry if I'm completely off).

I have another longshot I could post, but it's missing a bolt and the catch--anyone have those spare to sell?
