I like to cut down on the freezing thing with plenty of warm clothing, but I was wondering what other people do to keep warm when its fucking cold. Do you throw on too many layers then take them off as the day goes on? Do you freeze before wearing the "just in case" jacket? Do you prefer mobility or the warmth?
As the quickest nerfer in Columbus, I wanna know what you guys do so I can be extra toasty.
Also, do those toe warmer things work?

Your choice of gloves is very significant. Big heavy gloves are warm, but can make blasters difficult or impossible to operate. In particular, make sure you can get your fingers through the trigger guard! Darts are also very difficult to hold with heavy gloves. You have a trade off to make: hand warmth vs precision. Bring several pairs of gloves, and use what works best. You may want to wear lighter gloves while you play, and heavy gloves in between rounds. Hand warmers are nice as well (yes, they do work).

Winter is the perfect season to nerf in the nude.
Are you sure that you aren't Canadian?
But I usally only wear sweats and a jacket. As for gloves, I use fingerless hobo gloves with surgical gloves underneath for dealing with snow.
Edit: The coldest I have ever nerfed in was -15 degrees

Long sleeves, then a waffle knit, then a windbreaker/cosby sweater is all I need. I even wear it while cycling.

Yikes. A majority going with one layer on the bottom? Isn't that like "going commando"?
I sometimes wear spandex underarmor type stuff when it gets cold. And I don't wear it with underwear.
But I actually wear cargo shorts over them so its all good. I would go with mobility. I wear a lot of the same stuff I wear when I row, lots of light layers, spandex, with what I usually wear in the summer over that. For gloves, I have used BMX gloves before, they work amazingly well. Finger mobility is good, and I wasn't too much slower reloading. It was easy for me to retrieve darts from my cargo short pockets.

I used to have problems with seals, then I started bringing a club to wars.

My God... that has got to be one of the greatest posts I have seen on here in a long time. With all the running around, I don't get cold. Instead of putting on long johns, I bust out the cold-weather arsenal: Wildfire, FuryFire, Crossfire, Stormfire, Firefly, Rapid-Fire 20, Strikefire, Triple Torch, and Vulcan.

Just for the record, my mother is the most beautiful women in the world.

Yet another reason I am happy I don't nerf with you guys.

I, personally, wear too many layers, then customize as needed. 2 hoodies, a windbreaker, a thermal long sleeve T and underarmor work fine for a skinny runner like me. I go with pj's and (too big for me) khakis on the bottom. It ends up fitting and being warm.
Other things: 3 layers of socks if its wet, 2 otherwise.
Hats and hoods work.
I have "bracers" and hobo gloves.
