At3k Internals Questions

I'm working on a mod like PointBlank's Cyclops:

but I can't figure out how he got his At3k internals system to use JUST the orange tubing. My at3k looks just like any stock at3k assembly ( Don't think I need a pic here) but it has the goo guage and the clear tube that runs from the guage to the air tank on it. I'm not sure how he went about disconnecting the goo guage and the clear tube...
I've Pmed Point Blank and also looked in the directory and used the search function.

Or, you could just buy 1/4" vinyl tubing from Home Depot for $.14 a foot. If you want it orange, you can then paint it orange.

Hi Yah- Will that really be airtight?
Wing'd man- not sure what that "little green thing" is...
I'm looking for a way to make the tubing connect in the way that he did it...
EDIT: looks like a barbed connector MAY work. Would like a little bit more concrete info. before i cut up my at3k. Does ACE sell the 1/4" barbed connectors does anyone know?

Use 3/16 barbed connectors. I know Home Depot has them, but I don't know if Ace has them.
ACE had them in brass. The guy there said to make sure the tubes are warm (not hot) before trying to but the connetor in...

You know that little orange L on the end of the air tank? There's a little green hexagon thing that is between the L on the air tank and the the other tubing. You can unscrew this, and take the stock tubing off.
I think I know what you're talking about except fot that there is no green thing on my air tank. I think what I'm gonna end up doing is I'll just cut the tubes in such a way that they'll connect smoothly with the barbed connector and so that the gun will NOT include the goo guage.

My at3k pump/tank setup
Is THIS the peice that we're all talking about? Is this the green peice? On mine its black. I can't unscrew it or anything. its fixed on there pretty good.
The crap i'm trying to get rid of; the goo guage and the clear tubing
the underside of the goo guage. not dure if I need to do anyhting to this...
Do i need to get the black octagonal peice off of the orange L, then cut the orange tubing off of the guage, and affix it to the place where the clear tubing that i took off was w/the black peice?
I just got a barbed connector...Not sure if just cutting thr goo guage out and using the connector would be easier...

It might be easier, and also probably would work fine.
But yes - you have understood the suggestions correctly. That black piece is a threaded hose coupling which usually can be unscrewed and re-used.
Well, I sm having alot of trouble witht he coupler... Getting it off I mean. Any suggestions?
