I'm looking for a good, cost effective way to silence or dull the loud crash my souped up NF makes when fired. I would rather not feel like punching a baby or drivin a nail into my skull when I fire this thing. I know about padding the plunger head (I have done that) and slipping FBR into the rest of the shell. The FBR method is a bit expensive for me though. I would rather not spend any money on this but if I have too...
I'm just looking for a good way to quiet the gun down so it's not so aggregiously LOUD!
If anyone needs to know: mods done/will be done are AR removal, plunger head padding, 1/2" CPVC couplered, light removed.
Thanks,
Whisper...

If at first you don't succeed, add more epoxy.

1337- do you think that 1/2 foam might wor too? That way, with the leftovers, I could make stefans.
Why wouldn't it...?
I keep a box and a bag with all of my foam scaps in it. It largely consists of failed/broken stefans, and foam that wouldn't make good darts (bends in it), and I just use that to dampen the sounds and vibrations of my guns. It doesn't really cost me anythinh extra, I just recycle what I would have thrown away.

How is the fbr method expensive? It cost about $3 for a 20' roll, and you only need about 1' to silence it. That's about 15 cents to silence your nf.
This is the solution to all of your problomes.

You could also just shove the entire blaster into an old throw pillow. Looks retarded, sounds quiet. You could also stuff it with polyester batting (teddy-bear stuffing). Search for "Pubed Tech Target".
This is the classic douche move
Ontopic: Try filling the empty space with and expanding spray foam
That's about it. And thanks Angela who helped me with these pictures.. It looks huge in her hands.
HOLY CRAP!
