ONE LAST EDIT THAT NEEDS TO BE IN THE BEGINNING IS THAT THIS IS NOT TO SHOW OFF THE PAINTJOB! THE PAINTJOB IS NOT COMPLETE!

I don't have pictures of how to mod it sorry.
Also I somewhat new here so if a moderator of this website sees this topic and thinks it belongs only in the modification and paintjob thread than I appoligize and feel free to delete this topic if it is breaking any rules.
Anyway here is the mod and check out my Youtube channel TheSyrupCompany to see this mod with a more in depth description.

Here you see that the nightfinder plunger rod does work and catch.

I love this thing.

EDIT: I PLAN ON PAINTING THIS MORE COLORS, THIS IS JUST THE BASE COAT! ALSO I ALREADY STATED I'M NEW HERE BUT SOME PEOPLE DON'T GET THE POINT. I HAVE GOTTEN COMPLAINTS THAT I NEED TO GIVE PEOPLE CREDIT FOR THE NIGHTFINDER PLUNGER ROD REPLACEMENT! THE ONLY REASON I HAVE THAT IS BECAUSE THE STOCK PLUNGER ROD BROKE. AND I DID NOT KNOW ANYONE ELSE ALREADY DID THE PLUNGER ROD REPLACEMENT! I THOUGHT OF THIS MOD MYSELF, AND CONGRATS TO ANYONE WHO DID IT BEFORE ME BUT YOU WILL NOT GET CREDIT IF I DID NOT GET THE MOD IDEA FROM YOU!

The primer looks good. What color are you going to paint it?

Let's clarify a few things.

1) You are playing with a modified kids' toy.
2) Painting the toy black will not make you cooler. It will not make you do better. It will however greatly improve your chances of getting shot by a real gun.

Take (1) with pride, and paint it something colorful.

The mod, I like. Simple but really changes the look, feel and action of the blaster, so good job on that. The paint job is dangerous. There is a big camp of nerfers on the web who are very opposed to black paint jobs. Black paint jobs get the wrong kind of attention from the wrong kind of people, IE police. If you plan on never taking this thing out of your house, then no problem, but some wars now a days are saying no black blaster in play. We don't want any evening news tragedies.

I'm sick and tired of people spamming people's gun topics complaining about a paintjob. Who ever said they'd be using it in public? Who ever said it wasn't going to be used in private property/indoors? Who ever said it would stay that way? Professional painters on this forum don't get screamed at for their incredibly detailed guns that are of dark color, so why should anybody else?

Seriously people either get over it or calmly inform them without being a total douche.

As for the gun, looks pretty good, but I think it'd be pretty cool to minimize it a little further by cutting off that bottom "barrel".

For my two cents, If you're going to remove the slide (one of my favorite parts of this blaster) then you need to go a step further than even Darken suggests and minimize it to the most extreme extent that you can. It looks so off-kilter and goofily unbalanced.

And Darken, at risk of de-railment of the thread, and with no offense intended to anyone whatsoever (especially not Pancakes), I agree with nisaburo. Black blasters stigmatize us regardless of their intended use. Even if it's just for show, or something you keep at home, if it's posted online it's no longer private. Yes it's wonderful to make something that looks nice, and I have friends who have done such to their blasters (outfitting them with airsoft parts and everything) but if its online, it can be added into the public's opinion of this hobby (read: sport) and can reflect poorly on us. Maybe I'm just jealous of all the goobers on eBay who sell black longshots for insane prices, but too-realistic blasters make (insert diety here) kill kittens.

And in response to the dark colored blasters of the pro's, I'd like to point out that many of them are more than just black. How hard is it to put 3 coats of flat black on a blaster? Now compare that to (for example) Dizzy's E-a-B. Not the same ballpark at all, yet still dark colored.

It's not spam. Spam is useless drivel. We are merely encouraging this youth to branch out and try new things. To fully embrace the beauty of paints that actually reflect some colors of light.

Who ever said they'd be using it in public? Who ever said it wasn't going to be used in private property/indoors?

Private property does not protect you. Brandishing a firearm (or what looks like a firearm) in my front yard will still get my house surrounded by the police. We don't nag these guys because we want to be asshats. We nag them to protect them and ourselves. Besides, there is no style to all black.

Indeed some guy here, in The Netherlands was waving a TOY gun around in his house, someone saw it through the window and called the police, the guy got a fine for waving around a toy gun in his own house,.................

On topic: great mod, but please don't yell at me anymore, I hate being yelled at....thank you.
