I just picked up the game yesterday, and for anyone who hasn't played it, go pick it up. If you liked BF:1942, you will love this game. I do. New graphics engine makes everything super-smooth with no lag. For those who have no idea what it is, it's basically a FPS with the ability to use tons of different weapons, and tons of different vehicles, including Hueys, F-4 Phantoms, Mig-21s, and Mi-8s.
Now that I'm done telling you all what I think about this game... what does everyone else think? Good game? Bad game? Good theme? Bad theme? Controversy? Praise? Let's hear it.

I'm gonna get it as soon as I have some spare money. Right now I'm flat broke(After paying for my trip to Hawaii!). But the trailers look awesome for it. If its anything like BF1942 it would be worth getting.

Yeah, those are things I'm most interested in. What's the difference between flying the MiG-21 and F-4? In Vietnam, the Phantom was far superior. Was it?...including Hueys, F-4 Phantoms, Mig-21s...
Yeah, I like airplanes. And I also like games that stay true to the way things were.

In 'Nam, the F-4 was designed to be able to beat the MiG-17 in combat. The 21 was developed around half a year to a year later if my memory serves me right. The MiG-21 was supposed to be superior to the F-4 in all aspects, but in the game they're pretty much balanced. That means they're easy to fly right? Jesus no. If you remember BF1942, the planes were pretty damn responsive. In BF:V, when you pull back on the stick (down arrow...), it'll take a bit to actually begin to pull up. But they're fast. All of them. And the F-4 can drop napalm. Fun stuff. All the aircraft in the game are: Huey transport, Huey gunship, Huey Cobra, Chinook, Mi-8 gunship, Mi-8 cargo, MiG-17, MiG-21, A4 Corsair, and the F-4 Phantom. Fun stuff.

Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!
