Alright i was going to replace the spring but couldn't find one of the right size. In order to reinforce the catch I managed to lose the original catch spring and I replaced it with the spring zorn lemma uses from mcmaster. So we put it all back together (I'm pretty sure we did it the right way) and it won't catch. We have fidgeted with it many times and still nothing. Any suggestions?

1) Is either the catch or the plunger upside down?
2) What exactly is a "battle pistol"?

Yeah I'm sorry that was pretty dickish of me my bad. Get some pictures up though and I'm sure we can help you on this. Also the catch spring might be to strong that has happened to me sometimes for my NF just play around with the catch spring that you use and that might do the trick.

Did you check if the plunger rod is upside down? I've done that before on my DT3.

As stated you could check to make sure the plunger rod has the right side up as the top and bottom look very similar. Also, you were saying you were having trouble finding the right size spring correct? Make sure the replacement spring isn't too long so that even when fully compressed the catch won't reach the catch slot on the plunger rod. I have just recently made this mistake and spent too long trying to find the problem.

very unclear but it sounds like you need some hot glue on your catch spring to reenforce it, however, like everybody else has already stated, please explain the question with more detail.

the only problem is, the scope is filled with roach bodies and roach crap.
