i would of skipped it but my coach would of been on my ass about it for weeks but i will be able to make all the other wars this year

This was a great war other than a few problems. The highlight of the day had to be those 2 rounds of HvZ, they were Effeminate. I hope to see you guys at the 12/12 war.

Rules on Hits and clearing are a non issue when you are interested in playing.... they only come into issue when you put winning over playing.

Its seems that all the deputes over clearing were over taking ground. It is unfair to expect someone who has the high ground to retreat to a position of disadvantage as soon as they get shot so you can advance to their position. When I get hit I move to cover and count, No one was cheating. We were in a very narrow playing field with few places to retreat to.

The "rules" about hits and clearing are to keep people from cheating, not to allow the players who got the kill to advance. If you want my position kill me and run to it, I will not clear right next to you, but I might move to a safe position and kill you after I clear. If you want a position that no one can shoot you from, move out of my range not into my position. Don't stop playing to start an argument, it defeats the purpose of nerfing all together.

1) If I shoot someone at 70' (clearly within my range) they SHOULD have to move - they are still in the hot zone of the battle. I don't think it's fair that they can call clear and immediately get to shoot at me at the same range I killed them. They should have to earn their position back by running there under fire. So do think whoever gets the "high ground" should be allowed to stay there the entire round until their 3 lives are gone just because they don't want to clear away from it after they get shot? That's crap
2) Yes, but there were two times that I saw people who got shot clear TOWARDS the enemy, advancing their position. I don't care if the actual distance is further from me, you shouldn't be allowed to flank me while clearing. And the width doesn't really matter, you should clear towards your team/ directly away from the enemy (not to their sides)
3) The situation does not always allow the person who got the kill to advance immediately. But yes, I should be able to take your position after I kill you - you should no longer be able to stand there. You should have to move backwards. So you standing in the exact spot that you died to count doesn't make much sense. Having only 15 seconds for the killer to move to your death position to get the dead guy to clear somewhere else is bull shit - the person that got hit should have to move away from the area so the person that got the hit can advance when they want to. Of course after the 15 seconds, the previously dead guy should be allowed to rush back to their position, but it should be more than 15 steps back to that location.

This wasn't really an issue at the last few wars I've attended. I think there weren't really clear cut "lines" to distinguish sides so there was a lot more flipping. This caused the movements of a single person to significantly change the power of a team - and when that movement is (what I would consider) cheating, that annoys me. So, naturally, I have to bitch about it. lol

The rules of clearing are simple and finite, any Cosmo gi-... any nerfer should know them.

Fun war.

These are all +/-'s:

• CtF round lasted forever and was eventually a draw, but I got to walk up the middle and hit people like a badass. Twice.
• HvZ rounds were quite fun. Me and Baddy were almost dead, then we both lived. I then switched guns and survived the round. Until the seppuku.
• 3/15 rounds were fun. No one side had a clear whopping advantage since half the attendance had high powered RSCB/turreted/flip breeched blasters. Except that one round.
• Me ending up using my Revolver and 1st gen all day. Unexpected, but still nice since my RSCB 3k is now going to built by the RSCB whore himself, Coop.
• Cookies being good. Gingersnaps were a little to gingery for someone without much water. Fresh double stacks were nice as well.
• Forgetting 68 degree high means don't wear 3 layers of pants and shirts AND forgetting my water bottles.
• Few incidents of rule breaking. I still don't think I got hit by that shot Prince Valor. I saw it and heard it smack the tree behind me. The clearing crap is on top of the post.
• Generally shooting well. Kept a few heads down, rushed with Coop, brought attention my way and got people who didn't see me out.
• Being close to or just the fastest person there. And dodging extremely well, at least yesterday.
  Getting half of my darts back.
• Sweeping the shit out of that leave infested park. Got about 150 more darts. Keeping about 125 of them. (pic)

I was close to the flag twice as well, but neither team was going to get the flag. Our defense was too strong and our offense was too sporadic. Either way, it was lunch time. *nom* *nom* *nom* *nom* *nom* *nom* *nom*

The fact that you guys were using high powered blasters that round that you called it hit and I didn't feel it was the tipping point on top of that.
