Through my experience, the Nerf Raider is merely a pump-action Recon with a sideways clip. Out of the box, the range is no better than the recon, and and what's worse is you can't remove the barrel to increase range. That's where modding comes in. See Overhaul.
I removed the Air Restrictors from mine using that guide; it works like a dream. I now get ranges FLAT- 40 feet 45 DEGREES-70 feet. I know that isn't very impressive compared to some other peoples mods, but for me that's pretty good. The Raider is super-light even with the drum; with me being able to hold it with one hand and fire a shot. It's also very comfortable to hold, with the inclusion of the much-improved shoulder-stock. The new stock is nice-looking, MUCH more sturdy/stable, and is adjustable.

We've always held our Nerf wars at my buddies' house(in his ENORMOUS basement). And they've ALWAYS been indoor wars. So to the point; the Raider is an Indoor-War KING

I will now rate the Raider on a 10-point scale;
Range: 4 (modded)
Rate of Fire(ROF): 9
Mobility: 8
Accuracy: 5
Cost: 2 (too expensive for what it is)
Reload Speed: 2
Quality: 8
Comfort: 7 (Better than the Vulcan)
Now that I'm done, what are your thoughts? How would you compare the Raider to a Recon, or a Longshot, or any other dart gun for that matter?
Please, leave comments!
