I have posted this on other forums to maximize the amount of players.

Attendence:

Attending: (12)

-Mehku (Host) +3-4
-Hummer (Host)
-Louiec3 +2
-Carbon

Maybes: (4)

-NFmaster
-KingTom
-Merzlin
-beckamb26

Total: 16

What to bring:

- At least one primary.
- At least 1 pistol for the pistol rounds.
- Melee Weapon. No melee weapons other the Nerf swords are allowed.
- Enough ammo ( About 125-200 darts for your primary, and about 100 darts for your sidearm(s))
- Eye protection is mandatory for players under the age of 18.
- A bag lunch with plenty of water or some other type of drink. Don't bring perishable foods. You have been warned.
- Some money for buying/ selling, etc.
- Appropriate clothing for the snow. Do NOT wear all camouflage.
- Hand/Toe warmers.

What not to bring:

- Singled Titans.
- Plugged Titans must be shotgunned to at least three barrels
- No singled AND plugged 4Bs
- LBBs
- National Geographic Guns
- Signal Launchers
- Plugged will imply shotgunned to at least three barrels.
- Homemades will be allowed if deemed safe by 1 of the 2 hosts.
- Anything painted entirely black or silver.

Games:

CTF, Team Deathmatch, Free-For-All, Pistol Rounds, and others. We will decide what to play as we go.

Relevent Information:

- Starting time is 10:00 AM and ending time is 2:00 PM if we don't freeze to death before that.
- Lunch will take place at 12:30 PM on the war site. You must bring your own lunch, and don't take easily perishable foods.
- No shields unless they are a either a manta ray, or a dart tag shield. No homemades or modified shields. The manta ray must also be in working order.
- About crappy darts: PLEASE pick up mangled/ bad stefans and toss them in the bad dart box that will be provided. These can cause serious personal injuries if fired at someone.
- We will be following the West Coast standards laid forth in Badger's etiquette thread (stickied, please read it).
- Another thing, please try not to curse loudly. Little kids might be around, and you might piss off parents.
- Don't be afraid to ask questions! If you have a question, fire away!
- Anybody is welcome to attend, including family and friends.
- If any guns have any sharp or pointy objects on it, try and duct tape it down. There is really no reason why you should, anyway.
- If you are going to barrel tap with a brass barrel, make sure that there is a PVC sheath over it.
- People may only borrow a gun if they make some form of a deposit (Hat, trinket, ect)
- If a gun is painted completely black or silver, you need to wrap orange electrical tape around the barrel if you want to use it. No exceptions.
- I would recommend using spring powered blasters because of the extreme temperatures. The cold can cause air bladders to shrink and explode on plugged guns.
- Oh, about bathrooms..just water a fuckin' tree. Warn us before hand, though. If you REALLY insist on a toilet, one of the parents on site could drive you to pick n' save or somewhere.

Below are some pictures of the park:

I recycled Hummer's old photos. Keep in mind that there will be much more snow on the ground in December.

C'mon, you Wisconsinites! (And possibly Chicago and Minnesota people *COUGH COUGH*) Let's finally have a war!

He parkours over flat land while yelling tactical orders at no one. Demon Lord is the most legit ballsy nerfer of all time.

Just to let everyone know, the only melee weapons that are allowed are the nerf brand swords. I have broken finger nails (as in bleeding) while dueling with the hasbro lightsabers. The nerf brand swords are the only swords that I can actually use with some force without hurting anyone.

Judging by the indian summer we seem to be having, snow may be scarce day of, but hey, it's Wisconsin, the weather seems to have a mind of its own.

I'm going to be deer hunting starting Thursday (the 19th) and I won't have access to a computer until around the 30th. If you have any questions, PM Hummer or wait for me to get back.

Thanks!

The war is only three days away! Start packing your nerfy goods and load up your guns! It's almost time to kick some ass!

On a side note, If you have to use a bathroom, the closest gas station is Weis Oil Citgo. It is right off of Greenfield Avenue.

FINAL BUMP - The war is tomorrow! Plan for snow on the ground. Wear boots and dress warm. The high for tomorrow is 33 degrees and the wind will be blowing at about 12 mph.

If anyone has a spare firefly turret I'd be willing to buy/trade for it at the war.

Well my legs feel like I've run a half-marathon, and I gotta say, I had a good excellent time with you guys.

Things we've learned:
1. "Fire at will!" jokes never get old (Thanks for being a good sport about it, I'll take out the batteries next time though)
2. Zombies is flippin awesome
3. Swords bring out the nerd in anybody
4. Drinking warm water grants +15 frost resistance
5. Thunder fury sword is the bee's knees

Hopefully, the next war will be sometime late March/early April

Merry Christmas

-Taking orders from The Grand Helmet .
-Watching hummer fall not once but twice over the same bush.
- My +bow worked fine.
-The zombie round was awesome indeed.
-Melee rounds

Every war has it's bad side though...
-It is awful to run in boots
-My LS broke 1st round and my DT3 pistol suffered a bad case of brokenplungerroditus.

I can't wait for the next war hopefully sooner rather than later.

I feel like a creaky old man today.

Pros:

-None of my blasters broke.
-Melee Round.
-Zombie Round.
-Thunder Fury swords are indeed fucking awesome.
-Using my Raider and actually hitting someone with it.
-Didn't lose ALL of my ammo.
-Quote:
"I'm better with a long thing" - I KNOW WHO SAID THAT- and I'm going to give him shit for it at school. :)
-Remembering my stash of hand warmers.
-Seeing Carbon's crazy homemades and shooting a +Bow for the first time.
-Watching Hummer slam into the box forts during the zombie round.

Cons:

-The helmet, while funny at first, got a little out of hand.
-Forgetting a Group Photo, will get that next war.
-Boots are nasty to run in.

Hummer, we need to start cooking up something for March/April. NAOW.

You know, it makes me feel better about hurting the next day when I know that folks half my age ache just as much.

Great first war! I'm looking forward to more of them.

Highlights:
Getting to meet Mehku, hummer, louiec3, and the other members of the Milwaukee crew. What was the total, something like 12? A really good turnout.
Louiec3's rather nice looking +bow and L+L.
Melee rounds were a welcome change of pace.
Accidental forward rolls during said melee, and then coming up for the tap on Mehku. "Are you OK?" "Yeah!" *tap*
That park is fantastic. Great cover, open space, and rolling hills. Reminded me a lot of Newell in MN. I hope it stays less occupied in warmer months.
Getting to nerf after driving only 10 minutes.
Playing a war with most people using stock ammo and high ROF...and the long range homemades using stefans with low ROF. Lots of running, lots of dodging. It was great, and really makes me want to get a Raider.
Actually winning the last pistol round. Those who usually play with me know that This Does Not Happen.

Two moments from the pistol round:
Scoring the last hit in the pistol round by crashing through a cardboard box barricade by a tree. That, and this little drama:
"Alliance?"
"*snort* No!"
"OK." *shoots* "Hit!"

Downsides:
Dead time in between rounds got a bit long.
The Cult of the Helmet.
Running in winter gear is hardcore exercise.

Thanks for organizing this war. Looking forward to the next one!
