I'm planning to integrate a Marvelous Salvo into my Spy Gear Signal Launcher by splicing a T between the pump and blast-chamber assembly. The pump is a Spalding basketball pump with no over-pressure release valve. I'll put a check valve between the T and the SMDTG trigger to isolate the two systems. Here's a diagram:

Suppose I pump enough to safely pressurize the Big Salvo chambers and the SGSL chamber. I then fire the SGSL or Salvo and pump again to refill it. Since there's no OPRV, will this cause the other mechanism that had not been fired to become too pressurized and explode?

Probably not, it will take fewer pumps to fill the SGSL (or BS tanks) after you fire one, though, so just pump carefully. If it feels hard to pump, stop.

You will want a check valve before the SGSL tank, as well, or when you fire the salvos, you'll lose your air from the SGSL tank.

I wouldn't think so, but then again I'm no expert. Actually you would need a way for all of the air to circulate(which would be the safest option) i.e. no check valve. I don't know If the SMGTG trigger acts as a check valve. And if it doesn't their will be insufficient pressure in the BS tanks one you fire the SGSL... so you would need a check valve... fuck. Any who, I do not think it will explode, however I don't think it will work either. But I could be WAY off. Sorry if that didn't help.

Maybe you should use a check valve that can only hold up at low PSIs or is sealed at them, so any extra air pumped would go to the SGSB.

Doing this as I speak. I have no idea when I got it...my DAD got it some 15 years ago, but that doesn't matter. Anyways, it keeps jerking around all over the place. I try to hold it with a rag...It doesn't look like...much.

I'm pretty sure the SM trigger does also function as a check valve, so you may be able to add just one, on the SGSL side of the T fitting from the pump.

The trigger functions effectively as a check valve for chambers #2 and #3. For #1 you're going to need a check valve on the ->pump inlet.

In my opinion, unless I'm an idiot, I think it should look like this:

The reason why I say this is because if you fired off the BS tanks, it would suck up all of the air from the signal launcher, so you wouldn't be able to shoot the BS three times and then the signal launcher.

You could place one of those custom oprvs after the check valve for the ms.

If you hadn't noticed there is a check valve at the back of the sgsl tank, like the BBBB (The pump is just relocated). Another thing to try would be adding a valve that you can control, so you could pump the the BS tanks once and use the SGSL repeatedly, or vice versa.
