Hey all,

I recently acquired an old junker BBB. I want to fix it up and make it puuuurty but firts I need the right spring as it did not come with the original one.

What do you guys recommend. The BBB is old gen. I think.

Thanks,

Whisper...

A [k26] or [k25] from Mcmaster, the [k25] is about as round as a BBB. If you need the links for the springs I think it was Daniel Beaver who posted the links in the thread called springs started by Cappy.

I would recommend using a recon spring, with 1.5 of a nf replacement spring, and a PVC coupler cut to 0.75 inches.

The yellow balls are also slightly smaller in diameter than the green ones.

Interesting idea. Do you know of a specific spring at ACE?? That's what's most local for me. I don't have a Recon to scrap and I have a deadline so I really can't order...

Thanks,

I use a full Arrowstorm spring. A bit hard to fit in, but does the trick.

Ace #49 is a common NF replacement spring, that will prob. work, though I have no BBB experience to know for sure.

Use 1.5 Ace #49 springs, the combined length is the same as the stock spring and the other 1/2 spring can go in another BBB.
