Big Salvo With 3-shot Barrels

I took 1-1/4” couplers and put them on 1-1/4” to ¾” reducer brushings and then cut off the excess. Not entirely necessary but it removed about ½” of dead space
And did this three times. The white lines are where I shaved down the outside so they would fit perfectly in such close proximity.
I originally tried the e-tape wrapping with Goop combination but in the first round I used it at a war the barrel couplings twisted right off the stock barrel stubs. So in my next attempt I used epoxy.
I put painters tape all over the face so I could epoxy the barrels as close to the base of the sally as possible but not have the actually ON the Sally.
In-process picture.
BAM! Tri-shotty Super Sally!
I could not get a fourth three shot attachment on the top, but 2 wraps of e-tape around a 4” length of ½” CPVC fit perfectly.
Field test result: I got 9 shots into the core in a DTC round in ONE SHOT at M.A.N.O. a few weeks ago! However, it basically sucked the butt at any other game type due to it’s slow reload time and rather random ranges.
Ranges: single shot gets 60’+, great for eliminating a core defender. Shotties get 30-45’ with streamlines, 10-50’ with Stephens.
Ways this could be easier:
• Don’t cut down the barrel couplers: most likely not a huge diff.
• Cut the stock barrels off AFTER you epoxy the barrel couplings on to make sure there is enough stock barrel material to epoxy to.
• Just epoxy the barrel couplings to the Sally face. Won’t open, but if you need to open the thing it is usually to scrap it for parts.

But really, whatever floats your boat. If you prefer multi-barrel shotgun attachments, then great, this is awesome.

I think your math is just slightly off: Goop + e-tape = 2 * bad
I should clarify: bad for THIS mod. The constant twisting and pulling to change barrel pods has ripped the couplers off in previous versions. I have, though, had very good success with eTape/goop for single barrel mods.
T-Bull: yeah, I would say that at this point this blaster has one purpose and that is to have it hanging off your hip till The Core is undefended, them unleash hell! 2 rounds possibly if you carry three pre-loaded barrel pods in your pocket.

In order: yes, agreed, un-friggin-belivably, this is a sidearm so I have one or two others.I love it did you plug the pump or anything else, Those single barrel ranges seem a bit low. Reloading must be horrible. You better make sure it lasts the whole round of defend the core or else you are in trouble.
Thanks, for what it does what it is meant for quite well.I really like how you have the three shotgun barrels and one single shot. It seems very effective. Nice mod.
A terribly dichotomy indeed. I have 9 of the spare barrel pods and several couplers so the helped the decision. And awesomeness: ALWAYS a factor. As great as that looks, Its more efficient to load 3 darts into one long barrel.
But then it would not look nearly as awesome.

Especially the fact that theres a single shot.
Do you have any reasoning for the large difference in ranges.
I like how the shotgun shells are removable too.
Great job!

1) Many thanks, if I run out of pods or am in a rush I sometimes just shoot the one.
2) The only thing I can think of is I have 9 barrels of slightly varying condition shooting darts of varying perfection (sorry Crouse, they are MOSTLY perfect) out of three tanks with questionable integrity.
3) Hella! I have 3 blasters that use them, might as well stick with it. If I had 30+ in a bandolier I would be a menace on the field…but that is a lot of work.

Edit: Try just a bit of handpainting, I love your schemes, but I can tell you used tape to paint.

I have almost no clue how this gun works, could you explain how the tigger works with the barrels?

There's two teams, offense and defense, as well as a core, which is a bucket tipped sideways (horizontal, either hanging or sitting on something, or whatever), with paper covering the opening. Can someone explain defend the core to me?
The defense tries to 'defend the core', shooting the offensive players. The offensive players try to shoot the bucket, getting darts inside. However, the shots have to break the paper, so you need a fairly powerful gun or close range. The offense can shoot the defense as well, to get closer to the bucket for easier shots. If anyone is shot, they go to their team's respective respawn, then come back. The game lasts for a set time, then the darts are counted, paper replaced, and teams switch offense/defense. The winner is the team with the most darts.
Very nice, seems to be extremely effective.

The tanks are back-pressure tanks, similar to a hornet. When the trigger is pulled, the air behind the tank is released as the trigger releases a pin, causing the back-pressure tank to fire. If you want to know more about back pressure tanks/guns, a search should turn up some good threads with an easy to follow .GIF.
Very nice, SonReece, definitely great for defend the core. How close does it have to be to break paper? Or would you only pull it out after the paper is mostly broken? I may have to do this with my salvo, and the removable "shells" allows for the gun to be changed for different game variants...
Great mod.

1) The thing I love about the BS and also the Sonic Baz is the stock barrel is the almost a perfect coupler fit for ½” cpvc: The e-tape you see is for a bit more seal, but I just yank it out, load a dart, and shove it back in .1) One thing you may want to try is a 1/2" Cpvc (or for those daring few, PVC) coupler.
2)Try just a bit of handpainting, I love your schemes, but I can tell you used tape to paint.
2) Panda colors FTW!!1! I have a titan and a 4b to be posted in the next month that display a massive learning curve in tape/spray paint prowess. But yeah, this one had a few…challenges.
1) Might be a “coast thing” or maybe we never had any paper handy but I have always played with an uncovered core. This thing has occasionally has trouble shooting through AIR…1) How close does it have to be to break paper?
2) the removable "shells" allows for the gun to be changed for different game variants...
Great mod.
2) Yeah, I suppose I could add singles, but I also like modularized designs so there is an appeal factor.
YesI assume you shoot the singled first then the other? Like the order the gun shoots the barrels.
