So I was digging thru the toys at TJ Max and after passing up the Iron man MS's for 12 bucks I came across one of these.

I was wondering if anyone has had the chance to play with one. I'm not really expecting to increase rang or anything. I just thought it might be useful in an indoor war or a bunker defense since it has motion detection. What I'm looking for is what kind of range does the blast have and if they are just total crap or maybe useful.
I will probably grab it if its still there on friday when I get paid. But if anyone has had one and it is total crap maybe you can save me 10 bucks.

Forgive my spelling and grammar. I post from my cell phone a lot. Sometimes when I'm on the can at work.

My little brother had one of these. The balls go very far, for the design of toy. Maybe ten feet at best, also there is a good spread.

The balls go farther that they like they can

My friend has one of these. Don't waste your time. It shoots the balls about 5 feet. They just shoot at a slight angle. Not even enough to hit your waste. Also a loud alarm goes off warning whoever is in the way. The alarm goes off for about two seconds then it launches the balls. You have a pretty big window to just walk out of the way before they go off.

If anyone has access to one of these, I would be interested in knowing the diameter of the balls. Thanks!

Already had a thread. Yeah, it's pretty crappy. Mostly the "sensor" is almost useless. Range is ... well, it's more than a yard, anyway. But not much more. Six feet would be an exaggeration, ten can only be wishful thinking.

I too have been seeing them at TJ Maxx recently for 12.99
I think there were two at my local store last week, along with 3 or 4 Iron Man Magstrikes at the same price.

With roll.

So while it might be weak, I think if you bypass the speaker you can get around the warning it gives off. Open it up disconnect the wires going to the speaker and connect them to eachother removing the speaker from the circuit. Then you might possibly have a marginally effective mine if you combine it with the trip wire idea from the original topic on this thing.

I totally would put this on my back and just engage it as I'm being chased/rushed.

Doing this as I speak. I have no idea when I got it...my DAD got it some 15 years ago, but that doesn't matter. Anyways, it keeps jerking around all over the place. I try to hold it with a rag...It doesn't look like...much.

It would be just as effective to hold a bag of foam balls, and huck the open bag at people chasing you.

Damn it Foamfoot. Why is it that you kill every good topic with a retarded response a few days late.
