Cheap-o Homemade Ammo Belt

So basically, you need the following:
-Wide tape, (preferably duct-tape)
-1/2 CPVC or 1/2 PVC
-Pipe cutters, hacksaw and miter-box, or anything that can get a nice cut.
-Scissors
-Hot glue and Glue gun
-A brain that doesn't include ignorance
-2 working hands
So take your tape, and cut 2 pieces long enough to fit around your waist, and a little more, depending on how much CPVC/PVC you plan on using.
Now take your CPVC/PVC and cut it maybe a 1/2 inch short of the width of your tape. If you are using CPVC, you might want to use a dremel to make the ID a little bit bigger so you can slide your dart in and out.
With that done, you can take your pieces of pipe and lay them down on the tape (as you can see, my cuts were horrible). Leave maybe 1/4-1/2" between each piece so it's somewhat flexible unlike mine.
Afterwards, take your other piece of tape and apply a little hot-glue and lay your piece of tape on top of the other segment as flush with the edges as possible.
The last step is to fold the tape under the piece of pipe so your darts don't fall out.
And you are done! You can personalize yours and unlike me, you can apply more pipe to hold more darts (just remember to leave space between the section and section so your pants' straps for belts are free.) Also, you might want to add some way to make a "buckle" of some sort.
Note: This is my first write-up, and I might have screwed up in someway, so if I did, please tell me, but don't throw me over for it.

I'm actually using a shoulder bag that was meant to be a cooler.
It has semi-rigid sides, and will remain open at all times.
My actual darts, I keep in a plastic ice cream container that I place into the bag. The bag is usually full with other, not as oftenly used, things that go underneath the ice cream container.
I debated making a 'belt'; but really, a well made bag will hold so much more ammo; and if you're using a singled gun anyway, you just need to pull out one round at a time anyway.
That's my thought on this though. I'd rather have 50+ rounds in a 1L ice cream tub that I carry in a shoulder bag; and can just reach inside to grab more rounds; than to reach for a belt, or a soft pouch, for more rounds.

I did almost the same thing a while ago.... And belts are useful, though if I have the choice I would take the lanard ammo box in that belt/ box/ bigger box set. With belts not only can some be at your waste and hold your pants up as well, but some can be used Rambo style, but with a holster for your trusty sidearm as well.
Very nice job pinz321, that looks very functional in my opinion.

Also, I considered using my pockets, but since I normally wear jeans and skinny pants, I thought they would crumple in my pocket, and I would have to stand up to reach for it comfortably (I need to stand up to get stuff in my pockets for some reason)

It would be the same thing as what you made but solve the problem of a buckle made of tape etc. Regardless, I like the idea of your belt and what may become of it.
Also, IMHO, each nerfer has their own preferences for dart carrying (like every other aspect of nerf) whether it be pants pockets, cargo pockets, belts, bandoliers, satchels, cartridge boxes, and so on. There's really no point to say which method is better, practical, or the opposite because it depends on the person and each nerfer just wants to share what they like. There's always going to be someone with a different preference and that can't be changed. I myself use a combination of mag pouches, cargo pockets on my shorts, ammo belts, and of course a dart tag vest (sometimes all at once) and I love it.
