I would just like to know what the Fast Blast is all about. There are no mods for it in the mod directory, and when I search it, irrelevant guns/topics pop up. So whats it all about? How does it preform after being modified? What are its ranges? The only things I really know about this gun, is that it's an air gun and was released somtime in the 90's. If someone could enlighten me on the specs of this gun, that would be great!

It's the worst gun I've come across in my days. I removed the ARs and improved the seals on everything. Barely leave the barrels (some times not at all). After that failed, I chopped it up and "singled" it. Nothing any better.

They good for replacement screws for crossbows. That's the only use I've found, personally.

True it is mostly useless.

I took apart the fastblast here's what I found out:

- It has a back pressure tank which works because the pump tube widens at the end
- adding a check valve would only work if you put in a "blast button" or release valve also
- removing the pegs does little to nothing for range
- lubing the pump tube doesn't really help either
- the main limiting factor in the blaster is how the barrel changer works and how small(diameter) the space is from the tank to the barrel


So, the only practical way to maintain the rear pumping thing and generally make it work/be effective is to:

- Replace the stock pump with one that fits and has a built in check valve.
- Add a blast button to the front handle
- Replace the excessively telescoping stock barrels with PETG or some other loose barrel material

Other useless info: it was released in the same line as the Splitfire and powerclip; the Airjet powerplus line.

Its a terrifically bad blaster.

The above stated reasons mean that it has extremely limited modding potential. Its priming/firing mechanism results in terrible accuracy even at very close ranges. I used it over the summer in our indoor wars, and my takeaway impressions were very negative. I would argue that it is among the worst blasters in existence.

So has anyone actually done the things that atomatron has suggested? I have had one of these things disassembled for months. I love the shell, but I couldn't figure out what to do with it. I've been thinking about putting a 2k in it, but if there's another way to get it to shoot over 40 feet I'd rather do that.

Mine gets ranges in the 25-30s so its hard to call it stellar but the rof is high enough to make it fun and useful.

Maybe the Fastblast mods will be kept secret, only used by the most elite modders and energetic nerfers.
