Cpvcing a at3k isn't the best idea if you want range, cause' at3ks aren't very good with tight barrel material.

I was just wondering if it was possible to cpvc an AT3K. I just bought my second off ebay, and im not in the mood to order petg or brass. I ask this because my previous one I petg'ed and it was great. What I dont know is if i can sand down the barrels enough to fit cpvc inside the turret stubs.
Thanks
I wonder if it was possible to use the search function on the forum.

Is it fun? No. I have CPVC'd around 8 of them and it's a pain sanding the CPVC and the barrel stubs.
The issue here, however, has more to do with using different types of barrel material while using the same darts. If you're going to be using the same size darts that you used with the PETG, then you really don't want to make a 3K with a different dart fit. Just order the PETG and wait for it, even if you order more than you need, you'll definitely end up using it on something. If you have a dart fit that works, stick with it.

Your dart will fly, but I wouldn't bet on more than 40-50 feet.
bullshit
I have cpvc'd my at3k and it works FANTASTIC! The barrels are approx. 3-4 inches long. I have also plugged the pump. With 7 pumps it gets close to 100 feet! (with a stefan of course) it can get roughly 80 with taggers too. It's a great idea, I suggest doing it. Only problem is, my cpvc was too wide around to fit into the barrels, so I had to hot glue them dirrectly onto the previous barrel stub and then wrap tape around them to keep airtight. It looks sketchy as hell but it works. DO IT!

Everyone talking about ranges is an idiot, because that depends on the darts you're using. Someone people use anorexic foam (.48) that will work great in CPVC. Just because you have fatso foam (.51 maybe) doesn't mean Stouty does.
But uh, since he's using brass, I guess the point is a bit moot.
