Hey guys, I don't know that much about modding so I just wanted to ask your opinion. Currently, i have a 4" piece of sch 40 1/2" PVC glued directly to the plunger tube (It's single shot). I glued a crayola barel in it, and with a stefan, i get anywhere between 60-70 feet with a straight shot (My house is 55 ft long and it will hit 5 feet high when i shoot from the other end). However, would my range greatly increase if i choose to use nested brass? Thanks guys.

Apply this simple rule: If it ain't broke don't fix it. Spring guns do not do as well with brass as they do with other barrel materials. 60-70 feet on a ss 1 is very good, I wouldn't change it.

Frequently untrue. Depends on the specific case of course - spring guns with higher volume tend to benefit more from nested brass than low volume guns.

However, 60-70 from a SSI is very good.
