This war was supposed to take place in conjunction with the 19th's NIC wide war day, but we've had to reschedule.

Host: Pittsburgh Area Nerfers. All are welcome!
When: Sunday September 20th. Standard 10 AM start time till ???.
Where: Armstrong Park (Same as CoS) 494 Pearce Rd, Baldwin 15234


What to bring:

* Standard equipment (I.E. whatever guns you choose to bring, etc.)

* Eye Protection mandatory for all participants under 16. I may have some available to be lent, but you WILL look stupid, I can promise that!

* Food:As you know, there's not an abundance of foodstuffs at the park, so bring your own, or be able to get some during the lunch break.

* Water: I will be bringing a 5 gallon dispenser, but that only does so much. During CoS we drained it totally. I don't expect that many attendees, but it's good to bring a (power/gator)ade or something.

Rules: Standard rules all apply, along with banned blasters, unless otherwise deemed allowable by organizers.

Plan on playing deathmatch primarily, If anyone is interested in alternative gametypes, please contact me. I will bring the electronic flag, in case, but if you want something more, please either bring it yourself, or contact me beforehand.

I have a 99% chance of being there. i also want to buy 2ks, 3ks, brass, petg, springs, and tons back pressure tanks tubing and blast buttons. Bring anything else you want to sell ill probably buy it.

@ SGM: Flamincows passed you ammo concern on to me. Last war I made ~100' of darts, and surprisingly got most of them back (I shared them with something like 1/2 the players I think), so I still have plenty to share. I use single zinc/steel BBs and hot glue. The foam is snug/tight in CPVC, a bit looser in OMC Thickwall PETG, and fits standard brass in a standard way.

Im looking for trades. Im really interested in about any weird blasters. or Laser tag team ops or team ops2 blasters.

Broken blasters to build into loaners for wars and experimenting.
Longshots,Hornets,at3ks, doubleshot springs, bigsalvo pumps, any pumps basically.

does anyone have ammo for a lightstorm LS2? id like one dart so I can test my ls2 and possibly copy the darts


would like a Buzzbee RFR in working condition. will trade cliptek and some clips and shells if youre interested in that.

I have a few PAS some modded some stock looking to trade or sell.

Attendance is as updated as can be so far. It's looking like there's a solid 15-16 attendees, with upper teens likely. If everyone would kindly make their final RSVP's and proceed to the register at this time.

Also, the weather is looking b-e-a-utiful (knocks on wood) so far. Upper 60's and sunny.

Let me know any concerns you may have about attending. A slight sacrifice is usually worth adding a body to the playfield.

Well I have a bunch of coordinating to do in the morning to get everyone going, but I'm hoping to get there early. It really all depends on when nerfmonkey rolls into my driveway. I have to field strip two of my blasters and give them a lube job when I get there, but it shouldn't be a big deal.

I'm glad we're starting two hours earlier this time. I wasn't quite finished when it started to get dark at CoS.

I got up about a half hour ago, got my stargazing in and now I'm ready to hop in the shower, eat something and get on the road. See everybody in a few hours.

It was saddening not to see you SGM. I can only hope the extra beauty sleep will make next time even better.

This was a good war, no Clash, but it wasn't too shabby. A big thanks to FlaminCows and JMWasko for helping out.

@ Decimator: Ask before you use my darts. Next time I expect some form of compensation before you're allowed to use them.

@ BadWrench: That LS was wicked. I'm probably going to try it out on one of mine.

Ill add some fuel to the fire on the Ls.
Internally that Ls is stock aside from the everbilt spring and 154 spring. No internal reinforcing, no modifications to the plunger tube or head, stock oring, no etape and no fancy lube.


For as bad of a day as I did have i have to admit you guys did not cause any of my problems and threw one hell of a nerf war. Id love to do it again for sure.

I found my wallet when I got home and am already eyeballing that lightstorm.

So I'm too exhausted to do a whole pros and cons list, but I will give it my best shot.

Pros:
-Great weather. It was a little hot, but I didn't mind.
-Getting a look at badwrench's fleet of RSCB longshots.
-Great variety in gametypes throughout the day made up for the slight monotony of having to play every round in the same area of the park
-the twelve year old smokers seem to have outgrown nerf and moved on to drugs and kickball. Did anyone else notice when one was trying to bury the other in pine needles? Fuckin' strange.
-Didn't get lost on the ride down this time, that was nice.
-Dom's lube is titties.
-Getting a big salvo.
-Recovering almost all of my darts. I think I'm seriously only missing like thirty.
-Landing several impressive shot with the new blaster.
-Dom's maximizer giving the whole war mad sex appeal.
-Selling my PAS.
-No welts so far as I can tell.
-Nerfmonkey's "back in the day" stories.
-Having way more darts than I needed
-The cops did even ask what on earth we were doing.
-bullshitting with Badwrench between rounds.
-Only one of my darts was missing the tip.

Cons:
-SGM and CNP were MIA.
-Getting slightly lowballed on my PAS.
-two hours of sleep the night before.
-Getting my cigarettes stolen by the twelve year old smokers.
-Bowser eating shit on the pavement in that second round of zombies.
-Not having a gun that's even slightly suitable for zombie rounds, and leaving far more welts than I am comfortable leaving.
-Being too tired to go all Wanda Sykes on whoever stole my cigarettes.

But all in all it was a hell of a time. I'm already looking forward to next month.

I'm sad that I missed out. Sounds like it would have been an awesome war to attend.
