I will be attending with at least 2 friends. Hopefully I will have less horrible guns this time around. Hopefully I'll have an angel breached longshot finished by then and I have a singled RFDG so my friends won't get utterly destroyed.

Attendance will be perfect for trying some new games. I think I have all the equipment for all the different games. One thing I know I don't have is eliminators. I don't know if anyone has any, but if you do, please speak up. Otherwise I'm going to go out and buy a bunch.

Highlights:

• The mod party. Such quality.
• Getting to the war on two hours of sleep. Also such quality!
• My new +bow, what with its excellent paintjob. It's a shame it didn't see much use.
• Rocking the hell out of the Pimp Cane Maximizer.
• My Lightnin' Blitz, Man Cannon, and Nite Finder outranging their expectations by a solid thirty feet.
• Team Man Cannon, fuckin' shit up in the wingman round.
• Unholy Three in the three v. three v. three v. three round winning with no hits taken between us.
• Using the Maximizer to win the five v. five v. five round for our team.
• The new Core. Absolutely stunning work.
• I guess I'm Michael Westen? Solid as hell.
• Meeting some of the cool new people, which was nice.
• Some choice shots with the Maximizer. I like that gun too much.
• Team Powerball. It's great we got to play; some crazy fun rushes.
• I got Recon'd. I admit it.
• Dodge the loser Capture the Flag has tons of potential if and when the bases are closer together, and the losers know the rounds has started. Zorn.
• Busting out the crazy madness +bow setup for attacking in Defend the Core.
• No one realizing Ryan was setting the timer, starting the round, and three minutes in getting at least forty darts into the core. It did not count.
• Did I mention the Man Cannon? Even without auto-rotation that thing is fun as hell to use.
• It's nice to know that even with all the +bows and other ridiculousness on the field there were no real standoffs I was in.
• Ryan, FUCK that 1500 in your hands. I can still feel that nipple shot.
• Getting Snake his Lightnin' Blitz, and Merzlin his backpressure tanks. Glad to help some brothas out.
• LiterSize and +bow is a potent combination, but not as hilarious as LiterSize and two swords.
• The field was good. Could use a little less shit, though. It'll be nice at other times.
• Nerfing in almost freezing weather. I looked it up later, we were at like thirty five and wind chill. Fuck you, Chicago.
• Slight +bow break. Gonna be a thirty minute fix... And two hours of painting! MOD PARTY NEXT WEEKEND WHOO.

Color me impressed, Chicago Nerf. Chano 3 is going to be fun times.

Great war guys. Thanks to Brian and Brian for helping me out with setup, cleanup and the authorities. And of course thanks to everyone who made this fun.

Highlights:

• Friday's mod party was intense. Two hours of sleep before the war.
• Getting there on time despite waking up late
• Temperatures and wind sucked but at least it wasn't raining, or even snowing.
• My new 1500 kicked some serious ass. Rear-loading is a beautiful thing.
• Maximizer got a lot of action. Zeke kicked ass with it.
• Despite the density of +bows, I used mine only a few rounds. It got plenty of action though, Zorn enjoyed using it.
• New faces, and unannounced people showed up. Always great.
• The Unholy Three kicks ass. The 3 vs 3 vs 3 vs 3 round was unfair.
• New core worked well. The Core Cam got a lot of action although it's almost too tall to see the short kids firing into the core. I got an awesome shot of Zorn firing several shots into the core undisturbed. Hilarious.
• Very few standoffs and fast paced action, despite the amount of high powered blasters.
• Team Powerball was a lot of fun. The last game we tied. That's the first time that's happened.
• A couple Cobra shots in the core even though I was limited to shooting mongos only. The sound from the core cam is frightening.
• In that same round I ate it hard sliding on goose shit and falling in it. I need cleats next week.

All in all, I had a really good time. I hope to see most of you back next week, same place, longer, and more intense. Fuck shit up.

Hopper-clipped +bows are hilariously unfair.

Hmmmm... I'll get a full write up done after looking at videos and trying to figure out why my comp. thinks 15 mins. of footage is too much. BUT-

- Damn, Bunstock. Hope your finger is ok.
- Two swords. Anyone ever seen "Glory"? Because it's kind of like that, only with more +bows, less cannon, and definitely not enough Civil War hats.
- Finally landed a +bow (Thanks, Ice9)
- In spite of said +bow, I find I will always be a "charge in" kinda dude and arm myself with swords for rounds that involve unlimited respawns. Oh, funnel of damage, attach thyself to ME.
- Merz needs a hamburger. Srsly.
- DtC is always a good time, seeing the team dynamics really play in was neat. Short Round and Bobbo, you guys rock.
- Holding off a guy with a magstrike and another with a BBBB by keeping my EX-6 and pistol splat trained on them. I think I eventually got one of them!
- The berserker is a lot of fun. Someday I'll fix the barrels, but as-is, it's not bad at all.
- Two swords is a lot of fun. Though I agree with Ryan, it's ridiculous to go two swords if you're a goalie in TPB. I can see that being problematic.
- Team Brian making it's somewhat Effeminate debut! Him with a +bow, me with.... swords. Yes, that went about as well as you could expect.
- Minimal physical injuries (though Merz and Bunstock got the worst parts of it between the nut shot and the scraped finger), though the amount of broken blasters over the day was a bit surprising.
- Fearing the sm1500. Damn.
- Seeing the handcannons in use, to great effect. Even with a +bow, I might have to get one of those myself.
- Swatting away one shot from a Vulcan, but getting hit from the successive 9 friends it had behind it.

Truth be told, while I encourage the use of melee weapons I never want to see an all melee round. Ever.

Great war...I'll remember to bring gloves and a little U.A next time.

• Going to the mod party and completing 2 guns. Awesome!
• Not making any darts for the war and still having enough + enough for the next war
• Getting a kickass foregrip on my +bow, holy shit are these things comfy! Thanks a ton Ryan!
• +bow breaking, but then coming up with an idea for fixing it on the way home. Get this bitch fixed up at the next MOD PARTY WHOOOOO
• My car didn't want to start when I left the war...so we sat there until we finally got it! w00t for having less than 1/4 tank of gas!
• Nailing a ton of shots at the war, but also getting hit a ton. Man, that Maximizer leaves nasty welts!
• I'm starting to finally like TPB more and more..I guess it really reflects on the location and the amount of people.
• Only one gun breaking, and I wouldn't even call it a break since it's the 11th time its happened to my +bow.
• Rear loading SM1500? Wow, that thing is insanely deadly. Ryan, I didn't want to rush you when shot because I knew you had 3 more shots....I'm bringing mine to the next mod party because I really need on of those and because its taking up space
• Getting absolutely owned in the 3-team deathmatch or w/e. After I saw my team starting to get cornered by the other two teams, I made a run for it down the middle. Whoever shot me...that was a nice shot.
• The pavilion was a great setup location, I think we should stick to grove #18.
• Since it's going to be quite cooler the next war, we should set up a small fire in a trash can or old grated grill. Just a thought.
• Seeing some new nerfers, glad you guys could make it out!
• Ice9's LB shooting farther than my Lanard Hand Cannon. What the fuck.
• Daniel's Vulcan ACTUALLY SHOOTING in the first round. I've never seen a vulcan shoot so well before!
• The actual precipitation conditions were perfect..but the temperature could be a bit higher.
• Getting some BS & Hornet tanks from Ice Nine. Thanks man!
• Getting shot in the nuts. Again.
• Capture the Flag with a loser twist seemed to fail at our location, but I'm sure its not a problem if we change a couple things around and establish the boundaries a little better to those who aren't listening.
• Time inbetween the rounds could be a bit better, but overall it went pretty quick. I'm glad we got fast, intense, quick pacing rounds into the war, those seem to be the highlights of the day.
• Just overall a great war, thanks for everyone that came and thanks Ryan for hosting it

And yes, I've never tried a Hamburger before.

Overall great war! I had a splendid time no matter how cold it got!

- Getting to see and Nerf with everyone again!
- Finally getting an LB, thanks Zeke
- Nut shotting Merz...its kind of like a Chicago tradition now...
- Not having any guns break and awesome dart fit given the cold
- Recon Rushing!!! It's surprisingly effective when executed correctly, with a nearly stock recon...
- Seeing a vulcan used and actually work!
- Team Brian ftw! We'll get better when Liter figures out what a gun is
- Barrel tapping Ryan and Zeke with the Manta, funny times
- Effeminate fail for CTF with losers...we'll figure out how to make it work in the future I'm sure

Good luck to everyone next week, I won't be attending...however, look out for a November war! PM me dates and whatnot of when everyone is free I'm leaning toward the 14th. After that war will be a feast at Top Notch where we can all enjoy watching Merz down the one pound burger! hah!

- Having 3 guns break on me
- TONS of bird crap
- Freezing weather
- Repairing all but one gun and having them work
- Actually getting a decent amount of sleep the night before
- Having last second mods work for me
- Seeing and enjoying the DtC setup Ryan has
- Raider RUSH! Gotta love the hail of darts!
- The worlds shortest CTF game...I'm still not over how fast that was over with
- Just having a ton of fun the whole day
