Being curious, I put the new drum in the stock to see how it would feel. Well obviously you won't be able to fire it the same. Unlike the "clips," that go straight down, the drum goes left and gets in the way if you're right-handed. So why not just turn the drum around?
Well if you had never noticed these guys (in green):

Those little nubs keep the clips from going in backwards. Well when you shave them off like in blue, they can go in backwards. However, being as drum and the fact that it's heavier, the drum will fall out due to the lack of a hole for the clip lock. So let's make one.
Get your dremel or saw or whatever and make sure you're cutting directly across.

If it looks like that, then it should work now.
Here's what it looks like in a LS:

And in the Raider:

So now we can carry 70 darts and still feel confortable in either hand.
By the way, the gun's shoot the same in either direction.

I have a quick Q concerning the drum mag. If say, in the middle of the battle you find time to reload it, but don't wish to remove it from the gun, could you dremel a slit in the side to reload in the heat of battle? Like, would the darts quite easily fall out of it?
You could make a magnetized flip up door.
Don't want to shove balls in tight spaces. Trust me, bad idea.

I would have to say no. There's a little black bar that pushes up the last few dart as well as rotates the drum when you put more in. You would have to have the black pieces already lowered in order to accomplish that. I'm not saying it's impossible but probably more work than it's worth and could cause integrity issues.

If you are are Nerfing and you fire more than 35 shots before you get out, you are RyanMcNumbers.I have a quick Q concerning the drum mag. Honestly, if you are worried about reloading during the heat of battle, then carry extra clips, or don't use a Longshot.

When your secondary doesnt work, hit someone with it and check their primary
If their primary doesnt work, go on hiting poeple until you find a gun that works
If no one is left concious when you find a gun that works, leave without warning.

Actually, no. The idea was to turn the drum around so it's out of your hand/body's way when in a LS or Recon. I guess saying it's "left-handed" isn't truly accurate so to speak.

Oh, trust me, your mom is awesome, but that's not the point here.Yea I noticed the whole clip thing I asked is not real feasible when I pulled it outta the box this morning. My mom is awesome, she drove me there through a flash flood warning, a ton of puddle, and it was raining so bad the windshield was never clear of rain, even with the wipers at full speed.
Looking at this mod, I'm shocked I didn't think of it before for the smaller clips so I wouldn't have to worry about reloading direction for the few I have, mid-battle. While this mod for the drum doesn't affect me so much (I'm relegated to holding blasters, guns, guitars, etcetera left-handed), it's a pretty good idea, even if it appears Echnalaid beat you to it.

I assume using stefans might help, but he uses stock darts.
