My +bow got messed up when my friend dropped it.

Upon farther investigation, I discovered that the person who made it used too thin of polycarbonate for the 1/8 pieces. It does not even seem like it is polycarbonate. After wasting $10 on a new sheet of polycarbonate and realizing that the maker had done such a hack job that I could not make the replacement pieces line up. The guy who was helping me with the machining decided he wanted to re-engineer the whole thing. Naturally, I did not protest.
He began by turning a custom bushing for the front that would seal with an oring, It accepts any pvc barrel, just like a normal +bow.
Posted Image
Then we installed custom fabricated aluminum blocks onto the sides of the catch area.

Posted Image
We then made a front plate and put threaded rods through the aluminum blocks and the front plate and tightened nuts onto either end.

Now, instead of all the force of the spring going into the front joints and a tiny little bolt, the stresses are held between aluminum plates and pieces of 1/4 inch polycarb, attached together by steel rods. This is by no means the best way to do this, but it used what we had on hand, and works well.

Also, if I my say so, It looks damn imposing.

Time to make something that integrates into it from the rods. Who was it that sold it to you? I'm considering buying one and don't want a lemon.

Is it possible to have a gun that is has a Nerf war ban on "tapping"?

Because I don't really want to receive that aluminum battering ram of a toy blaster anywhere on my person.

I think it was nerfdude(numbers) but I am not sure. It was a while ago. But this thing is not well made. My advice, stick to Ryan mcnumbers or some other reputable seller.

Yah, It will be getting some foam on the front, don't worry.

EDIT: Sorry, inadvertent double post.

Well, it's nice to explore a different construction. Your bracket that stabilizes the plunger could be extended into an RSCB holder, so you can have a upwards or downwards facing RSCB integration.

Doing this as I speak. I have no idea when I got it...my DAD got it some 15 years ago, but that doesn't matter. Anyways, it keeps jerking around all over the place. I try to hold it with a rag...It doesn't look like...much.

Yep, I am pretty pumped about using the rods as mounting points for stuff, they are a good deal stronger than the normal holes.

That looks like an anti-material weapon, not a Nerf gun.

It's awfully wide, thus taking away some of that streamlined design. But that custom turned bushing in the front is great. I want one.

Make an attachment system... maybe have 8 threaded spacer type things about 1/2"-1" long and put two on each corner, that way part of the rod can be able to be taken off. You put something on the rod segment and screw it in on both sides, I like the idea of an RSCB stabilizer. Get what I'm saying?

Yeah, those rods scream some sort if intergration, whether it be another blaster of a front grip, or something. Be creative.

On the top ones you shuld add a top grip like on the Vulcan, because from the front you'd just look absolutely badass taking a hip shot holding it like that.

But anyways, that's really cool. Great innovation to revive your +Bow.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I will be sure to post some updates once I get around to some integrations/fore grips. Also, Busta. Yah, the bushing is awesome, it makes it shoot 20 feet further with a single barrel than it did before with the leaky-ass aluminum tape job.

Thats beast man. You should definately put an RSCB on each side. That would be super intimidating. Also a foregrip would be cool. Good luck with that thing.

1. I agree.
2. That would create a lot of dead space.

Flashflint, I think the Bedhead117 means a double RSCB system.
