To celebrate the birthdays of myself and Tatertotguy, we are going to have a war.

Date: August 18th, a Tuesday.
Time: 1-7. Play it by ear.

Location: Bassett Park, Golden Valley, MN. This park looks pretty tight from the pictures Taters posted last year, but the pictures have now been deleted or something (I'll see if he can get new ones perhaps). To get there you go up Welcome Avenue which dead ends where the staging area is.

The staging area will be in the picnic area. I assume someone will have pics soon.

Food: There are fast food places near both parks I am pretty sure, I'll have to get confirmation about Bassett Creek though.

Banned guns: The following are banned if both singled and plugged. If unplugged, they are allowed: Big Blasts, Signal Launchers, LBBs, Titans. All singled Jobars, Cobras, and NGGs are banned. It's a case by case basis. Homemade sheilds must be similar in shape and size to a stock Manta sheild. Crossfire sheilds and actual Mantas are allowed too, unless they prove to provide too much of an advantage. PistolSplats, L+Ls, and airguns are banned in Pistol rounds.

What to bring:
At least one Primary Blaster
At least one Pistol round allowable blaster
Water
Food, or money to buy food
Plenty of darts
Good attitude
Eye Protection
Sunscreen
And all that Jazz

Thanks for the correction. Well, if you two are going to be able to go, and if you could provide a ride for Scott, I'd say we should have it in the City. The park is a lot farther away from everyone than I thought, and I don't think it is that great to make it worth the drive. Really, the only reason I would have it at Bassett would be so Scott could go even if he doesnt have a ride.

I just talked to Scott and he says that he is riding his bike and so are we. He did say that he is going to be late because of football. (he said around 1:30) We could give him a ride though if he needs one. Don't worry venom, Bassett Creek is worth the drive.

(I'll see if he can get new ones perhaps). If not at Bassett Creek, it will be at Langford Park in St. Paul. I'll have to have Taters or one of the other northside people scout out a staging area if we use Bassett Creek.

I can go scout out and take photos of Bassett Creek (trust me it's super nice), it's only 10 minutes by bike from my house. Expect pictures by thursday.

There are pinic shelters near the parking lot. By the way there are two parking lots go to the one by the playground not the ones by the woods.

The site looks fantastic, and it's convenient for me. I'm completely free on Tuesday, so anyone near Minneapolis can get a ride from me. Ask any MN nerfer who's met me if you want references! This is going to be fantastic, I'm pumped!!

I figure I should give you northside guys a break, and we might as well try out a new place. So, I am pretty set on having it at Bassett. I may be able to provide rides to people who live on the more wester side of the Twin Cities.

If you look on google maps Welcome Avenue dead ends in the park. Which is where we are going to meet because it is easy to find 'cause this park is big. There are a few restaraunts near by there is a Cub foods close, a donut place, pizza place, sit down restaraunt (if you want). Lets make this war awesome!

Okay, so me and my brother rode over to the park. While we were there we took pictures of it. So here they are...

We are suggesting having as pistol round on the playground, because it would be fun... (why else would we. )

One is right next to it (they might both be, it's been a month or to since I've played disc golf there). The water and porta-potties are right there too.


On another note, I'm still looking to buy stock titan barrels and about half a foot of brass if anybody has some. Plus I have a bag of nearly stock guns that are taking up space and I need to get rid of if anybody's interested. (longshot, first shot, tek6 and10, plus a couple of others)

Ug someone had to go and die and now the elder half's marching band practice is at 2:30. I'll only be able to make it for like an hour (unless my leader lets me skip...), but my bro will be there almost the whole time. Oh, and like every park in august Bassett is wasptopia, so avoid bringing sweets/sugary drinks. And I got some cardboard to add to the inside of the DTC box, to prevent shoot-throughs. I think that's everything.
