Alright. So my mom went yardsaling. She got me a crossfire and a vulcan for 10 bucks and then a little later on she called me saying she found a purple pistol that she thought fired balls. I was curious and told her to buy it since it was only 50 cents. Turns out it was a sharpshooter 1. And man was it in bad shape... Alright. So now I will show you how to revive one if you ever find one in horrid shape.

Materials:
soap and water
sandpaper
cpvc(you can use a different barrel material if you want. I made this so if would fire stock darts and my home depot sized foam nicely)
1/2 inch drill bit(skip if you are using a different barrel material)
a smaller drill bit(i don't know the size)
drill
electrical tape
foam pipe insulator
bolts and small wood screws
hack saw
pipe cutters(for a clean cut on your barrel material)
sharpie to mark cuts
nf spring
nf trigger spring
beastly little spring for catch(i found an industial one that doesn't want to fit in but makes the trigger pull nice and firm at a local ace)

The Begining:

The Process:
So first... I wanted to clean it off with some soap and water. I used some heavy duty soap(it's a joke... just used dawn dish soap)
Posted Image
next dry it off so that it is just a little wet.
Posted Image
now get some real coarse sandpaper and sand it while it is damp.
Posted Image
Next take out the plunger tube. mark it where I have with a marker.
Posted Image
Then cut it off with your hacksaw. Pipe cutters just bend the plastic.
Posted Image
Drill it out a bit to widen the airflow. The more the better but not so that the tube is too thin.
Posted Image
Here's mine:
Posted Image
Next etch in some marks by moving your hacksaw sideways on this piece:
Posted Image
so that it looks like:
Posted Image
Then wrap it in etape until you think your barrel with fit over.
Now with my cpvc I drill it out to make a nice fit.

Now glue it onto the barrel stub wraped in etape.

Mark where it meets the end of the shell
Posted Image
And cut
Posted Image
Posted Image
Now do what you did to your barrel stub.
Posted Image
Posted Image
And get some pipe insulation
Posted Image
Put it over your barrel so that your barrel is straight.
Posted Image
Now rip the nf spring out of one, as well as the trigger spring.
Posted Image
Put it on your plunger rod and put the pieces back in place. My sharpshooter still seals good.
Posted Image
Now replace the catch spring:
Posted Image
And trigger spring:
Posted Image
Pop it all back in then etape the shell nice and tight so that you can drill tiny holes and feed nice strong screws and bolts into it.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Now cut the ends of the too long of bolts if you used any off.

Good job, I don't understand why you sanded it though... Are you going to give it a paintjob?

Very nice job bringing this from the brink.

Those screws could probably be cleaned or something.

Did you replace that rusty plunger spring? You didn't show any pics of it if you did.

Anyway, nice job.

I used to have that problem until I got circumcised. 15 pounds later I was able to stand up straight.

Good find, and good job fixing it.

Yeah... It's going to be silver, black, and metalic blue when I'm done with it. I forgot to mention that in the post(s).

I like it. Good job. That was my first gun when I was 8.

Thanks for the compliment. I always like those from the moderators.

Very nice job bringing this from the brink.

I figured it wasn't worth the work since they were pretty rusted on the heads and would most likely strip.

Yes. With a stock nightfinder spring. It's in there somewhere if you look through it all.

Thanks. Although it was my moms find, not mine. I was just getting my kittens shots when she was out yardsaling.

EDIT: My kitten likes it.

You didn't keep the spider in it? Imagine how the webs could silence that blaster!

Well, that's nice to resurrect a beloved blaster like that.

Doing this as I speak. I have no idea when I got it...my DAD got it some 15 years ago, but that doesn't matter. Anyways, it keeps jerking around all over the place. I try to hold it with a rag...It doesn't look like...much.

Yeah... I don't even know how one would get into the handle... Or live in the gun. Then again I don't know how someone could manage to screw up a gun as much as this one was... Maybe some fbr in the dead spaces when I open it up to paint it. Although it's not loud at all.

Yeah I sort of like the faded color... But it can look much better.

I thought about it but figured I might as well try.

Wow. That was really amazing, there was a fucking spiderweb in the shell. Do you have any idea how that got there? On to the write-up, you did a great job and it I ever do get a Sharpshooter 1 I will totally do this, but with brass. I think it would look sweet if you gave it a paintjob by the way.
