I'm posting this two months in advance to see if we can create the biggest Chicago war to date. Also, since Ice Nine is coming back for college, and I told him I'd throw him a war for his return.

When:

DATE CHANGE:
October 17th, 2009 - 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Arrive at no later than 9:45 AM.

Where:

Busse Woods, Schaumburg, IL, Grove #18.





What to bring:
-Your "A" game
-A good attitude
-At least one primary, preferably two if your's breaks.
-Spring powered pistol.
-Darts, a lot of them
-Eye Protection, if you're not wearing any, you don't play
-Lunch and water. There are a few places within driving distance near the mall for food. However it would be much easier to bag a lunch.
-Proper attire. I don't want to see some douche bags showing up in camouflage or I will personally beat you down and tell you to leave. It's also going to be October, which can be quite cold sometimes. Gloves are highly recommended.

What not to bring:
-Singled Titans, minimum of three barrels
-Pump plugged 4B's, LBB's, Nat Geo blasters, or Signal launchers.
-Homemade air guns
-Anything else will be determined on a case-by-base basis.
-Blasters that are painted black will be tossed in the lake. And that means RFDGs, and PASs. Put some bright colored tape on them or paint them a different color. Extremely bright blaster will be encouraged.
-Anyone under the age of 13 will not be allowed to play. Mainly because I don't like children.

Miscellaneous Information:
-Only shields that will be allowed are Manta's. Anything else will count as a hit.
-Barrel tapping is allowed, only if you have the gun loaded with a dart and primed.
-If you are being a douchebag I will ask you to leave.
-Please clean up after yourselves, we will be in a forest preserve.
-Only Nerf brand sword will be allowed as melee weapons.

Round Schedule:
Arrive at no later than 9:45 AM. We will go over basic rules and safety, For the first half of the day, teams will be picked by flashcards.
We will begin playing at 10:00. If you're not there at 10:00, you'll miss the first round.

10:00 AM - Team Deathmatch (Flashcards)

11:00 AM - Capture the Flag and variants (Flashcards)

12:00 PM - Dart Sweep

12:15 PM - Lunch Break

1:00 PM - Multi-Team Deathmatch (Team Captains)

2:00 PM - Powerball (Flashcards) Best of 3 rounds, 10 minutes each

3:00 PM - Dart Sweep

3:15 PM - Defend the Core (Team Captains) Best of 3 rounds, 10 minutes each

4:30 PM - Wingman

5:00 PM - End of war, dart sweep, clean up

We're not going to go with the barbeque. It sounds like a great idea but I really just want to nerf. We really don't have a lot of time either.
The sun sets at 6:00 PM that time of year, and we won't have that much time to clean up before dark. The park closes at sunset. Also, when we
have time for a designated dart sweep, I want everyone out there looking for darts. I don't want to lose the priviledge of nerfing at this location
by littering the forest preserve with nonbiodegradable foam. Same thing goes with trash. I'm going to bring garbage bags to set up near the staging
area. Please be curteous.

Carbon and Beaver:

If a later date would work better for either of you, we can move the date. I just picked that date because it was the first weekend after UoC started school, so Zeke and Kelvin could come. But anything later than that would work, it'll just probably be colder.

So let me know on that.

EDIT: Zeke, it slipped my mind. Russian wouldn't work, but Swedish is just as awesome.

Later would help...as it's entirely possible my wife would still be in the hospital at that point, depending on how dates work out. But considering my Fall, I'm a bad person to plan around.

I can do basically any weekend as far as I can tell at this point. Just, the sooner in October the better, not just because of the weather but because school begins to gain momentum pretty quickly.

Either I will try to travel with Beaver, or be road tripping in my own vehicle, if so, then I can fit some more people.

Right now, the date is still up in the air with my parents. I know for a fact I could go on MMEA weekend, but then I run the risj of having to go with my ENTIRE family, thus ruining any chance of fun.
