I got this at a Dick's Sporting Goods store for $20 +tax. Much better deal than online. The first one I got leaked, but I swapped it back and got a good one.
Here is the stock gun:
It has a pretty awesome double locking breach. But sadly, it would most likely be difficult to make it work for nerf. So I decided to remove it completely. I cut of the ends of the breach slot like so, so I could remove the entire front part.
Initially, I cut off just the very end of the black part, like this.
But I realized, to reduce deadspace I should cut it down more. Here's where I marked it to be cut, about 3/4" away from the edge of the buttons:
I sanded out the ridges inside the tube. They are on both sides.
I then cut a 1/2" PVC coupler in half, wrapped it in E-tape, and gooped it into the black part.
I let that dry for 24 hours. Here is the end product compared to a NF and FF.
Oh and by the way. Don't mess witht he buttons on the black part. I pushed them both down, and the valve exploded. I was lucky, I found all of the necessary parts though (even though the workshop was a mess).
Ranges: The MAX I could get from this was about 100 feet flat with stefans. For some reason it shoots ball really well, like 50 feet with a really basic barrel. It's a tricky gun, I must say. It usually takes like 10 pumps. That's when the OPRV usually kicks in.
