What!?!?!

It would be easier for me if I had a goal. The truth for me, and I imagine for spoon too, is that it's hard to get involved in a lot of the conversations going on now a days on the site. Whether I'm just not deep in the mod scene anymore, or I've simply had the same conversations a dozen times before, it's just difficult for me to get into it. So my goal is to start writing a weekly, or perahps more frequently published, column that will create conversation pieces that will compell me and some of the older nerfers around to get more involved.
What I'd like here are some ideas from you guys concerning what you think you'd like to hear about. Keep in mind that it has to be something of ongoing relevance so that I can keep it going, and, more importantly, it has to be something that I know about. In other words, the supply and implimentation of PETG would be a bad idea. Anway, please feel free to brainstorm in this thread. I will not criticize any ideas (for once) and I'll silence those who do.

Edit:
Also something about the newbs taking themselves too seriously on the forums in general, or in response to the behavior of new users who aren't nessisarily doing something wrong. (as in the thread above)

That's sounds good Langley. Some of the newer nerfers don't quite understand what is nerf and what isn't.When does it stop being Nerf? How much is too much? (In reference to modding, homeades, home made ammo, etc.)
Nerf on!

I would like to see a piece on getting more people involved in nerfing. I'm a bit older and I don't have a large pool of school chums to draw from.
War orginization I think has been covered nicely by someone already but a discussion of alternate war sites and their problems would be nice, like construction sites, shopping malls and parking garages. A little beyond parks and schools you know.

Yeah that's a good suggestion, but it's just so incredibly boring. I mean, I can't really Rant on war locations in any entertaining manner. I'd fall asleep at the keyboard, and I couldn't write more than one or two articles without exhausting everything there is to say. None-the-less, I won't dismiss it off hand. Thanks for the idea. Gimme' some more.I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with sporkboy

Additionally things change so a 5 year old article may be outdated and need to be worked over for accuracy. I agree that one of the best ways to learn is through failure but there is much to be said for taking into consideration the experiences of others into consideration before trying something. Personally I learn best by reading about something and then later enforce that by actually doing what I have read, others just dive right in. In short, just because something seems a little redundant does not mean that it is a bad thing.
By the way OMC, thanks for agreeing with me on my previous post. I will try to come up with some more interesting topics though.

That would be cool. I haven't ever really heard of people nerfing inside, except for in houses, which is kind of hard to do in my case. So yeah, an article about indoor nerfing would be cool.Well Vacc. I wouldn't mind reading an article about some things you seem fairly opinionated about in our private conversations. First off I believe at one time you said that nerfing in the woods makes weak nerfers. You also said it was boring. So articles about how you would run a war, including locations and whatnot, could be quite an ongoing thing. I've yet to see anything other then a deathmatch work. We used to play tons of different scenarios, but things were different then, we had an honor system of making it fun no matter what. So how do you guys do it. How do you think a war should be run. This will cover everything from making teams, picking locations, gathering resources, different types of games and the list can go on. I don't beleive that some of our members have a love for the game like you do, so why not write about that?

That brings me to something else. You could write about different games and give a brief description of the rules. I'm trying to assemble a cache of war games, but I've heard of some and I don't know how they're played(ie. some type of hostage game or something like that)

I'm curious, why do you people think I'm such an expert on indoor nerfing? Did you read my only 2 requirements for ideas? ....I also think that an article on indoor nerfing would be good. That would be cool.
