Down in australia its rather hard to find good quality backing rod to make your own stefans (if there are any aussies out there that know where to get some that is good, please tell me) so while I was experimenting whith the stuff that I had, I decided to fill the rubber part on the top of a streamline dart up and try that. It worked so well that I wanted to share it with all you guys on the interweb.

Its probably one of te easiest mods I've done, just get a hot glue gun and fill the top of a streamline dart.

In my recon it gets a few metres further than a stock dart but with much more accuarcy (30 m or 100' for you americans)

I call them the F.U. dart (filled up dart)

Thanks

The incredible aardman

If someone has already come up with this I sincerely apologise I could not find a thread about it.

Since when do modded recons get more than 100'? If that's how they build em in Australia, damn man!

It's a distinct possibility. But seriously, that's all you could come up with? You are a terrible Troll.

Since the have been aimed at 45 degrees from hoizontal to achieve optimum distance. As well as being moddeded a fair bit.

30 metres is easy now

An even better way is to stretch the hole open with pliers and stick a metal BB or other weight in before filling the thing with glue.

This is interesting, but just letting you know, usually ranges are taken with the gun being fired flat.

I had already thought of this a while ago, but didn't post it because it's stupid. Stephens are better.

Fuck You Darts? You could also modify tagger darts to hold a hotglue dome with a weight of some kind

Stupid? No, not really. It obviously works well for his purposes, seeing as he clearly stated he can not acquire quallity fbr. And yes, stefans, generally, are better. However, in this case, that just doesn't work for him.

Aardman, good job figuring it out for yourself, but it definitely has been done before in some regard (See blue's post). I personally wouldn't add a weight if using a recon. If so though, nothing more than a single BB. You seem to have a fairly powerful recon though, if those measurements are accurate.

Hey...I got a crazy idea: how about you stop all that sigging stuff? It's not even my thread and it annoys me.

Ta-da! supplier in Australia, I heard this foam is actually OK, someone got it here but I can't remember who... It might of been someone at the NHQ.

I originally linked that in the FBR directory, but I removed it once I realized it was Australia only. I found a couple others like that as well. Maybe that's where you saw it.

Blue's idea is good, the recon has enough power to get some good range with the heavier wieght, it only loses 3-5 feet. but much better accuacy when there is a bit of a breeze. Thanks blue.

And I dont mean to judge or flame or sound angry, but I think it is resonable to assume that this is an international community now and perhaps we should all think about that when we post stuff, I know i do, i have to convert all my measurements to feet. I don't even have a tape measure that has feet on it!

You can find many metric/US conversion sites just by Google searching "Metric to US standard conversion"
(I didn't know if you already did that, but I wanted to save you some time if you did it the hard way)

That's pretty impresive. And the name of the dart made me laugh. You should yell 'FU!' when you shoot someone.

Someday, everything you own right now will be sold or destroyed when you die. So let's be happy!
