Ok this is a very simple coupler mod,

First i took out the AR obviously,

Next i glued a 1/2in PVC pipe to the base were the AR used to be.

(Yes 1/2in PVC does fit 1/2in Cpvc just like a Cpvc coupler)

Now just cut some cpvc pipe and pop it in ,and there you go

The finished product after paint

Wait--are you sure about those sizes of PVC? My CPVC definitely doesn't fit in 1/2" PVC as if in a coupler.

Actually the coupler isn't a coupler at all it's just straight 1/2in pvc pipe, sorry for the confusion

It looks as if someone melted the American flag on it, then, as an afterthought, glued on thin strips of the flag pole right on top... You sure you couldn't have taken the time to lay down some primer and painters tape first? It would really help the look of it.

He's probably using thinwall and doesnt know it. There are plenty of people that use thinwall CPVC to nest in PVC (or maybe the other way around? I forget).

It's the other way around. Pipe OD is always the same, it is the ID that changes. This way, fittings work regardless of whether you are using Thinwall PVC or normal PVC. The inside changes based on Nominal Pipe Size. Schedule 20 is what most people refer to as "Thinwall" PVC, Sch. 40 is the normal stuff most commonly used, and Sch. 80 is the dark grey pipe with the thickest walls. (Well, the thickest walls I've ever seen used in Nerf, Sch. 120 exists.)

This also means that Sch. 20 has the most room inside of it, which allows the nesting of CPVC in most cases. Hopefully this provides some understanding.

Here's the Wikipedia article on Nominal Pipe Size.

PVC with an SDR rating rather than a SCH rating I've also found to have much thinner walls.

Ranges? Also don't let people give you crap about your PJ's. Its the performance of the gun that counts.
