Im quite pleased with it. I through an ar15 spring on there. Ranges vary from 60-75. Not super great but I think I know what the problems are. Im not getting a great seal around the coupler and the 1 ¼’’ pvc. That can butcher it along with the fact that that style of plunger head sucks. Im planning on doing a rubber washer type of replacement. But I don’t really have the time or money to do that right now. One ive done that the ranges should be a little better than that of a bbb considering the plunger stroke is 6’’ long. This is also a great alternative if you ever lose those orange nubs that go on the side.
Here are some pictures of the finished product.

Very nicely done.

It looks very good and I love the paintjob.

Also in the beginning of the mod you said that instead of pushing it to prime you pull it. It may just be me but
to prime the BBB you pull it back and then it's primed. Do you mean just the motion of pushing it back in and
then pulling it out again, or was it just a typo?

On a BBB, the forward motion compresses the spring.

Dart Attack, nice mod. Good job all around. Oh, and shweet PJ.

Yes, he can, and he did.

Anyway, I'm actually really impressed by this! While I wouldn't do it personally since I find pulling back easier (and the BBB is one of the few guns that I really don't like or understand), I admire the effort and fine craftsmanship you put into this.

Doesn't the scorpion bow prime on the back stroke like this? Did you convert a bbb into a scorpion bow? Props.

Edit: I noticed that my "Props" may seem sarcastic, but it's not supposed to be. If I was working on changing a gun completely around to something else that already exists, I wouldn't even bother going through with it. I'd just buy the other gun. Your finished product is also damn hawt.

Very unique, but very complex. The material requirements are out of the league of most people, unfortunately, which may be the only bad thing about this mod. Nice job though, you should really enjoy using it. Could you upload a video so we can enjoy this awesome mod in all it's real time action.

Oh, and when it co-operates the BBB plunger head, like any pre-N-Strike weapon, has perfect seal when the plunger head is good, but they can go south fast. Use a drill press to bore out the center of the plunger rod and do what zorn did to his, it works great. (when it ain't broke!)

So this primes similar to the niterecon or a bastardization of the longshot right? The plunger tube is what physically moves, and moves the plunger rod with it right?

In a normal bbb, the plunger tube is moved forward as the forgrip is moved forward. this forward motion is what compresses the spring. I made it so that the spring compresses as the plunger moves back.

Exactly, then once the plunger rod catches, you move the plunger itself back forward.

Very unique, but very complex. The material requirements are out of the league of most people, unfortunately, which may be the only bad thing about this mod.

I could actually rebuild this using a dremal... It just wouldnt be as clean.

Use a drill press to bore out the center of the plunger rod and do what zorn did to his, it works great. (when it ain't broke!)

Way ahead of you.

Not to bust any balls, but with the range turn out, this seems like a complete waste of time and materials.

yeah I'm that guy who made that cool thing with the cool paint.

That's why people don't want to give ranges that much. He said he knew where the problems were, with the plunger head and PVC. Not to mention, the fact he tried something new of this extent deserves props in itself.

Dart Attack, way to pull something like this off.

Love the shotty motion, I love how you went balls-to-the-wall to make this, and black and white are sick primary colors.

It may just be my small screen, but I found this very hard to read, scrolling left to right/up and down. Other than that, it's a great mod. Good luck in the contest!

I was afraid of that... It looks fine on my 18incher.
Its a little smaller now, I think.

Not really, i built it from materials that were just laying arround. Thats why I cant really list part numbers and such. And im actually very happy with it, I feel it was worth it. All it needs is some tinkering. I just hope it will inspire someone to try and make something even better.
