Koree gave me a Stormfire after PA War. He said he wanted to see what I'd do to it. Since it's technically his, I haven't yet given this one a name; I'll leave that honour to him.
Anyway, this is a pretty basic modification even though it's titled "optimization". Barrel replacement, spring replacement, seal adjustment, and a few body mods to make everything fit. Nothing too fancy.

Will Expand-a-Blast ever forgive the physical three-dimensional representation of myself? What about Prince Caspian Wrist Crossbow? How will this bizarre love triangle end? Be sure to tune into the next episode of "Dizzy Mods Something"!
Meanwhile, here are some paint job pics:

What are the ranges?
Between 3 feet and 14 miles.
Seriously, though, range is unimportant right now. Even if I did range test, my results would not be a fair assessment of the capabilities of the blaster. My darts aren't a particularly good fit in PETG; I barreled the blaster for someone else who uses a different variety of foam than I do.

Between 3 feet and 14 miles.
Wow 14 miles with a good dart.
Whats your dart barrel fit, (serious question and a joke all at the same time )?

That is Beautiful. Did I just jizz?
Yeah, it's awesome, but we don't need to hear about your penis activity.
This is a fairly simple mod. I do plan on doing this if I purchase this blaster.
Awesome write-up, as usual.
Exactly what spring did you use?
... to be able to get a better burst or sustained fire, rather than blowing the whole load at once.

Exactly what spring did you use?
Everbilt. Buy them at the Home Depot in packs of two. 4" x 7/8" x .080". You'll have to cut it down to fit inside the plunger tube.

What do you think about this blaster in comparison to a NF?

What do you think about this blaster in comparison to a NF?
I'm indifferent. The advantages to the DTSF are that it is easier to design a holster around without having to alter the shell, and that no external parts move when the blaster is fired. The advantages to the NF are that there is nothing shell-wise in front of the end of the plunger chamber, making it much easier to mod it for a coupler system, and the shell overall is smaller when mimimized. I've also found that the priming motion of the NF is more comfortable, though holding a DTSF is more comfortable to me than holding pretty much any other pistol available.
The reason I say I am indifferent is because my pistol of choice at the moment is the AirTech 1000, which has been serviceable in pistol rounds because of its rate of fire. That, however, is neither here nor there.

It seems by internal pictures that the trigger has quite a short pull (especially in comparison to the NF). Is this true?

This has spiraled beyond uselessness into utterly stupidy.
Read it again until you figure it out.

Can it vaccum load?
It doesn't vacuum load my darts, but that's because the darts I use are not a good fit in PETG. I can't say for sure whether or not a better dart fit will allow vacuum-loading.

Is that Prince Caspian Crossbow actually good? I heard it was a pile of dookie.
Mods please grant me this one momentary diversion from the topic...
With the bands and bungee shown the furthest I was able to shoot flat was 25'.
Functionality justifies poor performance, as does the sheer hilarity of actually hitting someone with it when firing. Often it works as a "last resort" blaster that I don't have to draw from a holster. It stays neatly out of the way until I need it.
