After realizing my love for Pistol Splats and gaining a new one I am in search of the correct holster. I am looking for a leg holster and something for a right handed person. The pistol splat will be minimized(trigger guard removed and the barrel will be chopped off) I did try to search for a topic that would tell me which holster I should use but I have come up empty handed. I wouldn't like a leather holster though(save the cows).

Any suggestions?

Try the guy who was selling the leather mav and nf holsters.

I'm sure his sales thread says he'll do custom jobs, if you send him the blasters.

Hope that helps.

You could get fabric and sew a customized holster themed off of one that was used for some large-ass pistol.

Sewing is easy, but you can also use fabric glue...

Doing this as I speak. I have no idea when I got it...my DAD got it some 15 years ago, but that doesn't matter. Anyways, it keeps jerking around all over the place. I try to hold it with a rag...It doesn't look like...much.

I would suggest a UTG holster from the army barracks:

I made a thread almost exactly like this a little while back. I think the consensus ended up being to get the holster Groove uses for his NF. I'm a cheap son of a bitch so I made one out of ducktape. There's a thread about it in my sig.

Not to hijack the thread here, but when I tried clicking on the link for the "Drop Leg Holster" from the Homemade part of your sig, it just opened the page I was already on again.

You should shoot Dayko a PM. He has a holster for his PS worked pretty well.

I use a UTG holster identical to Groove's. My pistolsplat with the front cut off was a very snug fit. The buckle barely gets around it. After unhooking the buckle and preparing to draw, it get's snagged on the buckle occasionally. I would suggest making a holster for it instead.

You don't need to buy a holster, all you need to do is make one out of Cardboard, T-Shirt Fabric, and some straps and velcro...

All that this holster is made out of is a few layers of the forementioned fabric stapled to a peice of 2 sheets on cardboard stapled/duct-taped together (For strength). Then I just added a strap that goes around my leg and a belt loop to keep the holster from falling down. Hot-glue some industrial strength velco to each strap so it will fit tightly around your leg. Then just smother the whole thing in E-Tape and you have a very reliable holster. I've been using this one since last October and it hasn't failed on me once. Plus it has never snagged nor fell out of the holster once.

If you'd like, we could negotiate a price and I'll gladly make one for you.
PM me for details/questions.

I know that you want a professionally made one, but most of those are too small even for a reduced Pistolsplat, and cost around 30 bucks... not cool...

RED HEAD- Thanks but I don't feel comfrtable with a home made one, I want a professionally made one. Thanks for your time.

What is the inherent advantage of spending as much as it would take to make as many as you can squeeze out of a roll of Duck Tape (assuming you inexplicably don't have the materials on hand), and then adding shipping to it?

Holsters such as Tantum's work perfectly fine. Alternatively HERE is a link to 5 other designs for homemade holsters, each no doubt easier, and more economical than a "professionally made" one.

The strongest argument for homemade holsters is they're completely customizable, so you can make them fit any blaster like a glove, or make them work for several guns.

Just thought I'd throw my two cents in. Homemade holsters are great due to the customized dimensions, I love them, but as with a lot of things homemade, they can be temperamental. I've seen duct tape react badly to wear on stress points as well as the heat. To advertise, my homemade holsters work well and I hope to post a write up within the week.
However, I say if you have the money and find a good holster made for a larger frame pistol, and is, if possible, adjustable, go for it. I love the comfort and dependancy my the nylon holsters I use for my NFs. They're also more practical in the field because they allow you to qucikly repace your gun in the holster and retain it while in motion without fastening a strap, as some homemades might require. I recommend you check out Military Surplus Stores, or any other stores or expos (i.e. Gun Collector Shows, Military Shows) that sell used shooting sports accessories. Definitely, search the web. Enjoy.

Agreed.

That's the main reason I would like a name brand one; durablility, looks, versatility, customization, performance, shits, giggles, etc.

Clarification Edit: It has come to my attention that this post looks like it's directed towards jmwasko. It's meant to be directed towards Coaster. JM's points about homemade holsters are true, I was just trying to point out that they aren't as easy to break as one may think (if made correctly).

Just a few things I'd like to point out about my homemade holster:
For the first 3 or 4 rounds at SOF Seattle I was wearing my holster with the pistol splat in it. After that I realized I didn't need one with my playing style (mobility FTW), but anyways, during those 3 or 4 rounds, that holster went through hell and back. Whenever a shot is coming at about torso level towards me, I tend to drop to the ground rather than move to the side. This is mainly because I find it easier to judge where a dart will end up on a vertical plane rather than a horizontal one. I landed on that holster many times, with the pistol in it, so you can imagine that it was getting smooshed around. I also sprinted with it which obviously put stress on the joint between the leg loop and holster. I just looked at it right now and nothings wrong with it. A bit of glue on the said joint came of because it was positioned to far out of the tangent point on the loop (it wasn't necesary anyway, I figured it would come undone there). Anyway, the ducktape on that joint held everything down, so I don't even feel the need to do anything to it.

Point is, I don't think you (Coaster) quite understand how strong ducktape is. It's fucking strong. Now fine, go ahead and buy you 30 dollar holster, or make one for zippo provided you have cardboard and ducktape on hand (which almost everyone does). Sure the latter might require a bit of maintence depending on how not-lazy you are at a nerf war, but you have 30 dollars to spend on something else now.
