On the plus side, it's easy to open, all screws the same size, you only need a smaller screwdriver for about 3 of the holes.

Posted Image
On the other hand, that's a Maverick plunger tube in orange there. The springs look exactly the same also.

Posted Image
There's the turret. I haven't had a misfire yet, so that's promising.
This part DOES NOT rotate when primed, it rotates with the TRIGGER PULL.
I hope that makes things clear for anybody who does not want to read the entire thread.

Posted Image
That black rod is what rotates the turret.

They do feel pretty nice, I would think an AT2K integration would be definitely possible. It also looks a lot sturdier then a Maverick inside, so spring additions might work out better. I'm gonna try and at least get rid of the AR's, but don't hold your breath hoping I come up with any miracles...

I'm pretty mad about it having a reverse plunger. I expected it to be better than the maverick, but it just looks like its sturdier.

Is that a reverse plunger. :(

Lets still keep our finger crossed that it's better than a maverick.

Nice job getting ahold of one.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. A good nerf gun is like a good woman. It shouldn't require extra lubrication.

Where did you get this? On the other hand, it looks like it has a nice turret and stuff but with a Mav plunger system which makes me very sad...You could possibly make a Furyfinder but I don't know because I don't have a picture with size comparison.

Not quite...it's rotated by the pump action priming motion. Not the trigger. You'd have to prime, pump, fire, prime, pump, fire. You could do it...it'd just decrease ROF a lot.

Which stores specificly?

Nice find. It is quite unfortunate that it is a bigger maverick:(

Prices?

Did it come with two blasters?

Well, I think I was getting between 15 and 20. My Mavericks don't usually fire a single shot, so this is definitly a step up for me.

No, it is definitely trigger rotated. The pump will not rotate the barrels.

Mine came from Toys'r'Us in Minnesota, they did not have Stormfires though. The set includes 2 blasters (one of each color) darts, 2 vests, 2 sunglasses.

See, Velveeta's saying that the trigger rotates the chambers now, though I was pretty sure mine wasn't rotating at the NDTL. I will allow that I was in the 2nd to last scrimmage that day, maybe mine was jacked by the time I got to it. It definitely felt it had more kick than a maverick, though so I'm a bit surprised at the insides. Oh well. Good job getting it open already, Velveeta.

Yeah it's just a bigger maverick in shell size, but smaller in plunger tube size.

I'm a bit disappointed in the fact that the pump doesn't rotate the barrels because you can short stroke the trigger, just like on the mav, causing it to jam. I also don't like that inverse plunger.

The only way I'm getting this now is if it gets better ranges than a mav.

Good work, dude. You should definatley bring these to the war on Saturday. I want to try one out, and I can picture them being decent in the indoor war and Zombie rounds.

Yeah it's just a bigger maverick in shell size, but smaller in plunger tube size.

They're almost exactly the same. The outer shell is identical in size, but the Maverick's inner tube does compress about 1/8 or 1/16th of an inch more. It only looks bigger in the picture because it is brighter.

I'll definitely bring the green one, since I won't open it before the war. If I finish the orange one or can at least get it contained so I won't lose everything it will come also. It should beat my stock eliminators for zombies, although reloading is kind of a pain since you can only access 4 chambers at once.

So this also has the ability to reload from making the turret come out? Can you get a picture of that? I wanna see what it looks like on a Furyfire.

~Nrg

EDIT: I just realized that those barrels are exposed in the blaster's regular form...I am very stupid. Ignore whatever I said before.

Other than the size and turret, is there any differance between this and the maveric in performence?

Bleh, how dissapointing. Thanks for posting, Velveeta.

The good thing about this is that it would be perfect for an AT2K integration.

This should be better than a mav, because the turret rotates when it's primed. While the mav rotates with the trigger.

If you go back and read the first few posts, it's actually trigger rotated. Just telling you.

As one of the few people with a nitemav that actually catches and fires, and having talked with the original creator of the nitemav, I challenge you to make one that would actually be more war-practical than a regular mav or regular nitefinder.

Well, I have to say that's quite a disappointment.

But I'm still planning to get one, to at least attempt a 'heart transplant' from a Quick Blast.

As far as I can tell, nothing within the blue is necessary if you're replacing the air delivery system. The blaster's fairly thick too, so there's a huge amount of space to work with.
