Recently I aquired a Pump action shotgun and I am now beginning to mod it according to Angel's level 2 PAS mod. I have the stock spring and a spring that's essentially the same as a Longshot stock spring installed. Now, I also would like to add an ACE-49 (I'm fairly certain that this is a common spring and I do not need to go into details about its dimentions) spring as well. The only problem is that I cannot put the spring on the plunger rod because of the large plastic piece (NOT that brown part) at the back of the rod.

My question is this: Is it possible to get this spring on the plunger rod or should I just get a new, different sized spring? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but I searched and couldn't find anything and I'm sure someone must have run into this problem before.

That thing is huge! You should get a leash for it.

What you have to do is thread the spring onto the rod, so to speak. Put the spring on the rod and try to get the cut part to go around once. I know it's a crappy explanation, but its all I can think of. I'm sure someone can word it better.

I put one of these kind of springs on my PAS. You have to cut off the ends of a spring, and then bend it with a pliers in order for it to fit on. It's a pain to get on there and it took me awhile, but it is definitely worth the effort.

We're not discouraging people from joining a Nerf forum, we're discouraging them from joining this forum. It's an important distinction because, frankly, we don't give a shit. The Haven was created to escape the idiotic masses, now they're all here. -cxwq

Thanks I'll try that. For now I'll just put in another LS spring until I do the rest of the mod, so this will be like an add-on at the end.

You have to sort of bend the spring so the entire white chunk is inside it. Then you have to sort of peel the outer spring part onto the rod while turning, and it should thread on.

Whatever you do, make sure you're able to prime the damn thing before you go through all that trouble.

Yeah, today I tried to put a RFSG spring in my PAS and I had to cock it with two hands. I have an old generation longshot spring and a PAS spring. I get good ranges with it ,about 90's.
