At2k Issue

The problem is this. The valve seal has come unseated from the firing pin and fallen into the tank. Is there any feasible way to fix this (other than cutting the tank open and praying to Cthulu that it goes back together w/out any leaks)?
If not I'd like to know so I don't waste time trying, since I think I might have a 3k tank or a MegaMissle that might fit with any luck. I only ask because I've finally gotten the 2k where I want it.
Thanks in advance,
-Dom

Then get yourself some plastic cement (I like Oatey Green, I'm sure Just Some Bob will recommend Christies) and solvent weld the two tank halves together, and then solvent weld the PVC sheath over that.
While you're at it, you might even expand the length of your 2k tank by a bit. And hey, while you have the tank open, bore out the front nozzle from the back if you didn't already cut it to the ridge. I hear this makes the dump valve the same size as the SM1.5k tank, but again, since I don't have a tanks to measure anymore, I can't confirm.

I would only recommend this if you have already cut the valve stem flush with the ridge Zorn is talking about. Otherwise, its much easier and safer to the tank to just grab hold of the stem with pliers and rip it out. This will achieve the same effect, but won't work if you've cut the stem down too much. And hey, while you have the tank open, bore out the front nozzle from the back if you didn't already cut it to the ridge. Straighten out a paper clip, pull the firing pin all the way back, stick the paper clip into the tank and in the center of the o-ring, pull the o-ring to the center of the release hole in the tank, carefully remove the paper clip and slowly release the firing pin into the o-ring and it will pop right back on. It literally takes less than 5 minutes if you don't get get it the first time. NEVER cut the tank open, especially if you're an inexperienced modder. You're never get it back together perfectly. It'll leak or blow after a few uses.
