Yay! Insane yet fun mod #2!
Now with slightly more practicality!

Wow.

It's heavy, slow, short ranged, complicated, and inaccurate.

However, that gun would be the most fun to nerf with I've ever seen. Good job.

Actually, each gun individually is highly accurate, as accurate as it's individual components. It's only when you use the jet-stream attack with all three simultaniously that you sacrifice accuracy for speed.
And lets face it, that's totally worth it. :D

Holy fuck, that's a huge chunk of sexy plastic.

I'd like to see a video of it at work.

Man, I thought you were just being a typical concept noob who gave some outlandish name to a clusterfuck of ideas. I guessed that when I saw the diagram. But no, you pulled it off and it looks sweet.

I do like that paintjob...

Nice job.

Ha ha ha. Concepts are for brains, not message boards!

And I would love to post a video, but my camera decided to break when I tried to tape the TOW missile thing

That is absurdly unnecessary, but absolutely awesome at the same time. Seriously it's really cool.

Gotta love a good clusterfuck now and then.

Also, lovin' the Dom motif.

If I were ever to be in an office war, I'd want this gun more than any other.

There's not much to say except this gun is a foam cannon of death. Insanely awesome dude.

Yes. Undeniable so.
This thing is SO much fun to fire.
Plus to have created something truly unique - the responses in this topic are almost worth it alone :)

Apart from situational game types, I don't see this being usable at all.

Even if you made shells for the primary titan shotgun, reloading is going to be incredibly awkward as the rest of the gun gets in the way. You're going to be too slow with it to rush, and you're a huge target to shoot at from well outside the range of any of those guns, since I don't see any internal magstrike upgrades. Once you fire the magstrikes, have fun reloading and repumping the entire thing - with it on the group and the barrels pointed in the sky. Moreover, the entire gun is too bulky to get a good spray with on the magstrikes, except at very closer range. In which case, your opponent is an idiot for getting so close in the first place.

Essentially, you have one superweapon that you can fire once at the beginning of the round, or keep at a base for emergency use which brings us back to the first point: only practical in very specific scenario rounds.

On the other hand, that's gotta be pretty fun just to goof off with and shoot around. Have fun picking up the darts afterwards.

While many of us Nerf-mod to use in battles, some of us make mods for fun, or in less intense use cases, such as office 'battles' which consist primarily of Pearl Harbor'ing some unsuspecting coworker and running away. Especially with all the Gundam 0079 references in the write-up, I'm guessing the creator was doing this to impress fellow fans and for fun (a.k.a., can I do this? Let's find out.)

Just because you only / primarily / sometimes war with your modded Nerf doesn't mean everyone else has the same goals.

This one looks insanely cool. I love the Dom color scheme and Zion red-eye homage. You should post a firing video just to see it in action. Screw range, I just want to see the 'business end' unleashed.

Judging from the Red Light and the form of the gun, I would have guessed that you were inspired by BSG's Cylon Raider.

Nope, from this: Posted Image

See the resemblance?

Let me just say that thing looks beastly but I was wondering if you just shoot the titan multiple times how do you count the pumps. Does it need five more or just a couple more etc?

Hmmmm....
The first thing that comes to mind is Gundam Hammer...
Now I need a design....
I will make this work :)

I'll have to explain this first: The Magstrikes still have their stock overpressure release valves, which will vent any pressure over what they are capable of sustaining, and the Titan has a pressure gauge. So, if you fire the Titan but not the Magstrikes, you can pump it back up and any air that goes into the Magstrikes will be safety vented and the Titan tank will be filled just as normally.

This does NOT work in reverse, however, as the Titan does not have an overpressure release valve.

More to the specifics of your question, the Titan has a gauge that you can read as "full" anywhere between 40 and 60 psi. The Magstrikes will just simply vent any excess air. There is NO air exchange between the three tanks. There cant be for all three guns to be fired separately. So whether you fire one or all three, it takes roughly the same number of pumps to fill.

Oh, and:

(a.k.a., can I do this? Let's find out.)

That is my life's mission statement.

Two words:
Thoroughly impressed!

When I first read the description at the top of the page it sounded a LOT like a project I'm working on, one that I briefly mentioned on the IRC right before I left for basic training. Then I saw the picture and it was very different. I am very pleasantly surprised with your results from the bicycle pump. I may end up putting a similar pump on mine.

This is a really cool blaster that could do a lot of damage at the right time. Hopefully I'll finish my semi-similar mobile beast some day so that you can see what I'm talking about.

Well done.

You must do something like this to that new BuzzBee Berserker.

This is practical if you want to take out a whole group in cover. You have created a Nerf street sweeper.

Doing this as I speak. I have no idea when I got it...my DAD got it some 15 years ago, but that doesn't matter. Anyways, it keeps jerking around all over the place. I try to hold it with a rag...It doesn't look like...much.

Meh, Vulcans (Gundam) are weak and are definitely not an RX-78 signature.
Though this did give me an idea.

Oh, I certainly have something in mind for the Berserker.
Though sadly it has nothing to do with Fate/Stay Night.

Anyway, more to the reason I'm posting. Video!

Best soundtrack ever, but you should've taken out the cutscene noise. That always bothers me when I watch the episodes.

The video does show that the spacing on the magstrikes is actually kind of significant. It's probably too late to angle them in, so how easy is it to sweep the gun back and forth? It looks kind of awkward, since you're holding the gun with two hands...

Yeah, the noise bothered me too, but looking back, it's classic :)
It isnt that hard to sweep, but looking back I probably should have used spacers or something to angle them in a little bit. It didnt even occur to me till I fired it for the first time. That said, it still accomplishes it's purpose of simply drenching the area in foam.

Shoulda used the Japanese theme music.

Well, you see, my idea, was to stylize the blaster to look sort of Gundam-head-ish, what with a V-fin, sensor thingy, and the guns in the same area.

Another idea would be to make the Hyper Bazooka, though that's kind of a hard association to make.

If you wanted to go RX-79, you could make the bigasscannon...

But I digress. The video displays this things power, and I'm kinda glad you're not coming to DAFT.
