Or are the people leaving negative reviews on amazon retards that don't know how to properly load the gun?

I don't have jamming problems with mine. It's kind of the same deal with Vulcans, people don't load them carefully and they get jams, so they blame the design.

Two things can cause the recon to jam (in my experience):

1. Leaving ammo in the clips, allowing it to deform.
2. Trying to reload too fast.

That's about it really.

I've just taken one apart and found a dart jamming the boltsled.

Or, people are trying to load micros and taggers in it instead of streamlines, and are hacked off because the blaster won't function with non-spec'ed darts.

My little brother got one for his birthday. When he used it the blaster jammed a lot. It might of been his and my fault when we used it. Now when I use it it doesn't jam much because I know how to use it better.

yeah. i forgot some darts in a clip once and the first dart ruined and the second almost as bad. and please, please dont use any darts except streamlines. i hate people who come to my house and just start putting random darts in guns.

I've used a recon as my primary for a while and the most prevelant reason i've seen for the recon to jam is the condition of the dart.

The softer, more worn the dart is the more likely it is to bend and jam instead of load into the barrel properly. using stiff darts more or the basic straw mod (inside of the darts to stiffen them) has helped my see my recon jam much less.

Ryan- Could you weigh the balls for extra oomph? Maybe cut one ball open (like a slit) and spread it so you could get some weights in there?

I've found that reinforcing the catch spring, and removing unnecessary locks also improves the gun's overall handling and reliability.
