I remember seeing someone wanting to make a banana clip for the longshot. Well I was bored so I decided to make one. I couldn't get a picture because my dog decided that my longshot looked delicious. He ripped the banana clip apart, but here is what you need:

2 longshot clips
2 pieces of plexiglass, same width as clip
duct tape
sturdy styrafoam

Take the 2 clip and butt them up to each other, then place the plexiglass on it's side nextto the clip on each side. Bend the clip to desired bend place styrafoamin between clip to keep bend. Then wrap this set up in duct tape to hold it. Double sided credit goes to KingCosmo7's video he found .

For those who say nerf is for kids, just take a look at this.

So you duct taped two longshot clips together? So what. It isn't any more functional than a single clip, just more unwieldly and a waste of another clip. Why not just take cardboard and put it on the sides of both clips so you can have two "bannana clips?

I think it makes for a faster reload, just flipping the clip, than ejecting, and getting one from the stock

Ohhh. Sorry. That's actually an ok idea. I thought you were taping the top of one to the bottom of the bottom of another so you couldn't use the bottom one. I'm still not sure this needed it's own thread though.

The cardboard would actually look pretty cool, if you paint it then. Props for the idea

That's the next thing they will be selling. Called Flip Clip Dart Refill. I wouldn't buy that if it's only for the connector, but you get everything you need in the package, so it's quite nice.

Amazon's Nerf Flip Clip Dart Refill page

Aww, shit! I would buy that.
Although Duck Tape works the same, this looks cooler!

What faggotry is this?

So they do take ideas from the NIC...
Something tells me I'll be at Target one day and I'll end up with 3 of these in my hands, just for the extra clips.

And it looks cooler.

I really wish people would stop taping magazines together and calling them "Banana Clips". That's NOT what a "banana clip" is. A "banana clip" is a curved magazine, like on an AK-47 or an MP-5.

What you are making is just a pair off goddamn magazines duct taped together, that is what is known as a "dual magazine". Not saying it wasn't a good idea, but it's not a "Banana Clip".

To re-iterate:

This is a "Banana" Magazine, it is called that because of it's shape

And stop calling magazines clips. The Recon, Longshot, Shell Shock, RFR, and the upcoming Raider use Magazines. To illustrate the difference between a "clip" and a "magazine"

For a forum that places such importance on grammar and post quality, it always boggles me that such a thing goes unnoticed.

I realize that to many of you, the difference is semantic, but it's like calling a kettle a skillet, or a coffee mug a martini glass.

The reason we call them "clips", rather than "magazines" is because we don't give a fuck about proper terminology. They're toys. Foam shooting toys.

Agreed. Just like a Maverick 'turret' (sometimes even called barrels) is correctly called a cylinder.

This aside, hasn't this been done before? Taping mags together isn't exactly new.

Sorry to be off topic but, I think the main reason people call them clips is because nerf does. Look at a Longshot box it says "2 Quick-reload clips".

Hey wisdom000 -

I wouldn't get into it. I've tried many times. Apparently Hasbro has a hold on the prepubescent illiterate market.

That is all.

My original banana clip did have a curve like an ak-47, I probably just didn't explain well

Terminologist Rant

Okay, Wisdom, from what I surmise, his clip was a banana clip.

We call them what we call them because that's, perhaps not the actual firearm term, the nerf terminology.

A clip is any device that holds darts for firing in rapid succession. That's the Nerf way.
A banana clip is a dual clip stylized to have an angle between the two clips. Nerf. Not firearm.

The way I see it, this is just an aesthetic work that puts a not-even-that-new spin on the dual clip we've used for so long.

Mod/PJ thread.
