Im trying to seal the conection between the pvc in the switch shots ultra pump and the plastic tube coming from the tank in the at3k. Any ideas on how to seal the connection so that the air won't leak.

If your asking why im doing this its because something screwed up my 3k and my ssultra broke. Once i get it sealed properly i will integrate it into my rf20. :)

what you have to do is drill out the AT3K tank. If it's similar at all to the AT2K, just drill out where the original pump tube went in so that its large enough to fit your new tube. Seal it up real good with hot glue or plumbers goop.

Nazgul_Lord,

If it applies to you, you can try to melt the tube, which if done correctly, can make a perfect seal... Then again, you're screwed if any air bubbles get caught in it... Otherwise, your best bet is plumber's goops, epoxy (not the cement epoxy, you want the clear type), etc.

Ok ive changed my mod. Im attaching the sm5k pump to the orange plastic piece coming out of the at3k tank. So far the tube fits well into the orange part but there is still a leak coming from somewhere near the tank. Once i find the leak ill see if I can find some epoxy

Gave up on fixing your SM5k bud? If so, I'll take the tank off of your hands... and the shell, and the trigger... and everything else. Seriously though, if you have given up, I will gladly take it all off of your hands... I want to work out a nw paint job for the next war. I will have interchangable skins. One black and silver with my stencles, and if I get your shell, one with black to candy red fade... with silver accents on the handle pump and trigger. Haugh... okay, man you got me hoping for this thing... don't let me down!

BW u got a deal. Unless I manage to not integrate this mod into my ultra rf20 then i shall give you the pieces you need. The trigger problem was easily fixed but the leak in the tank could not be fixed. You shall fall to the power of my rf20 in 18 days hee hee

Sorry sir. I've been the new owner of the SM5k for a little over two days... another to add to the collection. This one is going to get a bike pump attatched to it, and the tank will be gooped to no return. I am most likely going to do the paint job I mentioned earlier, but this gun will be a nested brass... think of the power.

by nested brass do you mean telescoping brass? I'm not sure how effective that would be vs regular brass on a pump gun simply because the air delivery is already super fast. Unless the sm5k has slow delivery or something, which ?I doubt. I'd go with regular 9/16" if I were you, you'll get the same range, and you'll be able to reload faster cuz you can just drop the darts in the barrel without having to twist/push them into the barrel constriction.

You've seen my SB, right?

Just to let you know, I have tons of experience with SM5ks, I've worked on 2, this is my third. I just want to experiment. I already have SB as a bolt action breach, and it works great. A 9/16 barrel is good, but I just want to see the velocity of a nested brass barrel. Yes, I mean telescoping if you didn't know the nested term.

I just think it would be very cool. It won't be practical in a war, only for sharpshooting... which I would be doing alot of in our forest area for our MMNOs.

Oh yes, the SM5k has relatively slow air delivery. After pulling the trigger it hisses for a millesecond before rushing out. Maybe it's only my gun.

i thought you might have just meant brass nested in pvc or something. I've never worked with a 5k thats why I was asking. Good luck with your mod, hope it works out awesome for you.

Not just yours...mine does that too. Just gotta "snap" pull the trigger and away it goes. I also thought mine was the only one to do that.

BW, were you under the membername, Sylent_Blade? Seems to be the same guy, same blaster. Forgive me if I'm either mistaken or ignorant of the obvious.
