Couldn't you have bought like a 2" neoprene washer instead? And why the craft foam?

That trigger also looks very flimsy. Did you think about reinforcing it?

(off topic)

Did you recently buy this in a lot on ebay with two at2k's an LS and a Titan/Hornet?

Nice mod, I was hoping for a sexy paint job too! I do like the new plunger head.

On the other hand, the guy who posted before me used the word 'fuck' a lot so he probably knows what he's talking about.

The plunger tube's ID is 2-3/8". The stock plunger head is a bit over 2-1/4".

It's stronger than it looks.

No. I got the one I modded from a thrift shop. The one in the FAQ I bought from Coop.

Well I don't know the exact diameter, but then couldn't you have gotten a 2 3/8" neoprene washer?

And just asking because there was a lot on ebay a little while ago that had one of these and I wanted it but didn't get it.

They are difficult to find in retail stores, as noted in the write-up. I couldn't find anything bigger than 2-1/4" OD. I suppose if I had a bigger budget and more time I could order a custom-cut one online.

EaBs like BBBs, have perfect seal if the head isn't a dud. Yours must be, because mine vacuum loads stock. I'm putting a CPVC coupler on mine and a #49 spring, I'm estimating 80', less with a four shot inline clip.
By the way, that "Useless Crap" is the Expanding part of Expand-a-Blast, so now you have a Blast, and that's not as cool.
If you take off the stickers, paint a mural in the spot they were in before, your an artist, and that's a massive canvas to do something Effeminate on.
Good job bringing a little more fame to the most understated Primary/Massive Secondary ever.

Apparently the same is true for Lock-n-Loads. I suppose it's a variance native to the Hypersight line.

They really are useless, at least in my book. I tried to find a way to make some use of the back extension, but when I was fiddling around with the stock blaster I found it more annoying having to push that part back whenever I wanted to pull down the handle than anything.

That's what I'm planning on doing as soon as I get over this cold and have a chance to buy some black vinyl dye for a base coat.

Sweet, and a Dizzyduck paintjob will make it even sweeter. You know, I don't understand the trash EaB's get either. Out of all my stock guns that shoot mega darts, it's one of the better ones. I also like the expanding pieces, just for fun.

Really nice work dizzy. I am surprised you didn't try to put something in the scope. I am waiting for the paint job.

I found I could fit an AT2K tank with a bit of trimming to the scope, along with a SMDTG pump. I just didn't want to have to try to paint around that when I was painting it. I might still put it up there once I'm done with the paint job.

Your write-ups are the funniest and most entertaining on the 'Haven.

Awesome job. When, not if, I get one of these from Goodwill, I'll be sure to do this mod :P

You're write-ups are incredibly awesome. Also, nice work making a plunger head from scratch.

Colds suck. Get better.

I would like to echo Nerf Bro's thoughts: some EaB's have very good plunger seals. Some lube and an ACE #49 do wonders for it. I don't think you'll ever break 100' with it, but it will work at least as good as a 3B.

Otherwise, great work with the writeup. Yours are my favorites on Nerfhaven.

Besides the write ups... the well placed and hidden integrations are my favorite thing about your guns. Everything is so clean. Good luck with the EaB hope it serves you well.

Excellent job dizzy. I love the little pics behind the gun parts - especially the one with the stinky plunger head.

I've fucking had it. No one ever said Expand a Blast's suck. In fact there is a mod for one that CX did years back. You can even see him using it in one of the Armageddon video's. I don't know how you get this shit into your head.

I know cxwq loves them too, but I was always under the impression that his view wasn't one that a lot of other nerfers shared. I've heard it said that EaBs weren't very good a few times times on the IRC chat in particular.

No. I already sealed the paint with a coat of Krylon Tough Coat and I don't feel like sanding it down just to add a graphic.
