here is my 4b with RSCB and experimental valve.

Posted Image
simple wood dowel with chunk cut out of it.... the tighter the fit the better, but it has to move completely freely.

drop wood dowel into RSCB tee

When blaster fires valve is pushed upwards trapping darts from shooting out.... only dart in barrel will fire.

Absolutely Brilliant. If we can find a way that it seals off the back part of the barrel then we wouldn't have all the extra dead space created by the rest of the RSCB clip. Then you would have the best of both worlds, high ROF and top notch ranges.

I will definately be trying this on my next Mod, since the dead space issue was really bugging me.

nerkum: You realize this doesn't do anything about deadspace, right?

Badwrench: Do you get double fires often? It rarely happens to me. I understand this could be useful if you get double fires often.

TantumBull: Yes, I know the mod in its current state does nothing about the dead space, but I see this as a huge leap for that to be accomplished.

The wood dowel pops up into the barrel to block the second dart loaded from going out the barrel as well. I don't see why we cannot take it a step further and stop air from going into the deadspace of the clip.

Does this hinder the airflow at all?

Oh we definitely can, its just that air particles are a hell of a lot smaller than a stefan.

I'll take the hint, Badwrench, and add it to my RSCB BBBB that was shooting all the darts... (actually, I don't think my friend was using it right).

I really like the design, works well. I'll try this out on my PAS with an rscb and see if it hinders anything, but on a BBBB there's so much air it won't make a difference.

I think a fully (or mostly) deadspace blocking piece would be do-able. You could add a flare or something on the back of the dowel to block out the tube, then dremel out the T coupler to allow the flare to drop down with the dowel to allow the next dart forward.

Looks good, I'll be sure to try it out.

Nice job i must say. I will be attempting this when i get a chance. By the way what kind of barrel material did you use? It looks like 1/2 in. cpvc, but for some reason the kind that i tried won't even fit my darts.(i use the stock longshot darts and stefan's of the same size.) Would brass work? Sorry im asking probably very stupid, and easy to answer questions, but im relitivly new at nerf.
Thanks.

you have to find material that fits your darts

you can do any mod with any material if you plane carefully and have some clue as to what you want the outcome to be..

i use 1/2in cpvc and I shoot streamlines out of my RSCB longshot.

take darts to the store when you buy barrel material... I get mine at lowes.... just did through all the pipe they have till you find a piece that the dart fits into both ends.
