thank you thats exactly why im integrating it that big, i can minimize more but that wouldnt be comortable to me

and i modded the barrel so it can fire darts (ram rod type for now, investigating various barrel loading types to build in), and fire the humungous missile that comes with it

That's going to require alot of pumping, you might want to try and squeeze the titan pump there because it has much more volume.

i disagree, i tested by connecting the hornet pump to the titan airtank-big-white-thingy and the pressure valve and it took about 10 to 15 pumps, instead for the 8 orso for the stock pump

I suggest a cpvc coupler, you can pop in barrels of different lengths, speed-loaders, shotgun barrels, etc. and they're small enough that you can screw the stock barrel over it so you can still enjoy shooting the ridiculous huge missile.

well i think ill do something like that, first to find good barrels though, i live on the other side of the atlantic so it might get tricky to find good material (because of the metric dimensions etc, etc, ill probably end up walking through stores with a pocket full of darts, with people looking )

EDIT: just got a wicked idea, for a triple integration, gotta sleep on overnight to give it a thorough tought though (what a combination of words, and im not even english nor american!! )

Do you mean the over pressure valve kicked in at 10-15 pumps? Because I don't think the hornet pump's OPV would be at the same rating as the titan's.

no i meant the pressure gauge sorry, the hornet pump is plugged, after 10-15 pumps the gauge says high and i couldnt see the dart fly when i pulled the trigger...

i apologize to fallinouttadabox..... it does need a lot of pumps to get it under high pressure, but at 15 pumps it shoots harder then a modded mav, alot harder

First I used only the Hornet's pump,



as you can read it's taking a lot of time to pump to pressure.

So I added the original Titan pump:



Can't find good barrel materials (for stock darts, no streamlines) in stores here, electrical tubes are to tight or to loose, maybe on the internet.

Nice idea to use both the pumps is it really hard to pump since there are the two pumps. Has it been tested it seems the way you connected the pumps together the whole thing of having two pumps defeats the purpose.

I had to read your post 3 times to understand and figure out you have 2 questions for me.....

Yes, after a good 6 pumps the gauge says high and it gets harder to pump, the titan pump leaks on the out stroke a bit.
The hornet pump is attached to the OP valve mount, so i need to be carefull.....

It takes about half the number of pumps to get to desired pressure, in comparison with 1 pump (hornet)
So 15-20 instead of 30-40

I did not understand your second question, as in "more is always better" i think 2 pumps (or 1 big pump) is better then one (smaller), as some fellows posted

Pretty easy to read when you break it down. And yes, it has been tested, he already said that, he also said that it is a bit harder to pump.

It seems the way you connected the pumps together the whole thing of having two pumps defeats the purpose.

This is where my brain says "What the hell?" Do you mean "It seems like the whole thing of having two pumps together defeats the purpose."? If so, then no, it doesn't, it's just a simple way of having a more powerful pump.

I tried too say that wouldn't the titan pump just be pumping air into the hornet pump section so the titan pump isn't really doing anything. Since its just putting air into another pump.

The pumps work together, so the titan pump and the hornet pump both put pressure on the hose to the titan firing tank.

The connection for the OP valve is located AFTER the Titan return valve, so it's not affecting it much,
though it does a little bit.

Still working on the blaster, (I dont have a name for it yet), have pictures of the barrel system though:



Left is the missile barrel, the coupler is fixed with electrical tape, hotglue and left over hornet screws



The barrel coupler, you can see the o ring (witch came with the coupler), the coupler (actually it's a reducer) simply fixed in with hotglue, as is the original barrel



A second coupler (reducer), witch will become a darts barrel, in the barrel coupler (not all the way in)



And last but not least, the amount of o rings I salvaged from the reducers, maybe usable in other projects

The finished blaster, still needs PJ and some holes to be filled

Ranges are typical modded Titan ranges I think, 100+ feet.
(Can't measure well, I use the bakery i work but its only about 100 feet long, the modded dart tag I used hit the door).
Missile range sucked, only 20 feet so I need to adjust something somewhere...

I find it hard to believe that lego pieces are strong enough to hold the tubing together!
