Does anyone know where I can get bbs (or 3/0 fishing sinkers) in bulk online? Or, does anyone know of an easy to find cheap weight I can use instead. Also, is there another way to straighten darts that doesn't invovle something hot? I've hard you can put them in pvc, but is there another way? Thanx a lot for any help, it's appreciated.

(P.S. I hope homemades is the right section to post in )

Yes, homemades is the correct forum.

Dude, get 1/4" slingshot ammo at Walmart. it's ~$3 for 200 or 250 so get a few packs and you won't have to go back for a very long time.

If you really want to get them online...

Yeah, a pack of 250, at walmart, for 3 dollars, isn't going to cost as much as shipping, and is pretty cheap.

For the straightening, if you have a couple of weeks, just tape the roll so it's to something long and straight and let it sit. tape it well so the roll is taut, and it will be relatively straight in a couple of weeks. I use the groove in the side of a big aluminum ladder in my garadge.

Of course if you don't have a few weeks yuo can use a blowdrier on the foam to speen it up I did it outside on a 2x4 and then used a hose to cool it down quickly. Oh an extension cord might be in order for this too as the nomal cord of a hairdrier is about 5 ft. :D

Edit: I just picked up some 1/4" weights and I have to say they are much better at stabalizing darts than anything I've used before.

I just go to the hardware store and use these small washers. They fit perfectly in the dart and i only need to use 1.

wow. another fellow washer-weighted person. that's funny that the same idea appeared simoutaneously(sp). yeah, i use #6 washers, although i think i will be switching to 1/4" slingshot ammo, due to popular YANO complaints of partially exposed weights, and the fact that washer darts seem to hurt more.
