Well, I got this for christmas, and was utterly dissappointed. Barely scraped 20' ranges. So, I opened it up.
Materials Required:
Good size screwdriver.
Knife.
Plumbers goop.
Your barrel material.
So, start unscrewing the many, many, many movable parts.

Make sure you get every hidden screw.

Internals.

Airtank. About 4" long.
Posted Image
Pump. 3" pump stroke.
Posted Image
Video on how the trigger/pump/valve system works. *Note: That's my little brother playing a game in the background.
Posted Image
Take all this out.
Posted Image
Cut it to look like this. Note. The barrel switching valve will still be on.
Posted Image
Cut here.
Posted Image
This will come off.

Push pin valve.
Posted Image
This is perfect for multiple barrel attachments.

With a crayola barrel just held on by my fingers, the dart sped 30' in half a second, and hit the wall. I'm hoping for 60' plus.
Questions? Flames? Comments?
Ranges - I just went outside with the 100' tape. 85 feet flat. I was amazed. Considering I haven't plugged the pump, or even have a decent barrel on. All I did was e-tape a crayola barrel on. I used a CDTD, I lost all my stefans.

It's pretty painful to see anyone single something like that.

But I do see a lot of awesomeness locked in here. With a perfect dart fit and everything exact, this thing should break 110'.

Nice.

... to be able to get a better burst or sustained fire, rather than blowing the whole load at once.

Wait, you channeled all that air into one barrel and completely did away with the stock configuration? The only think that made this gun more than crap was that it had multiple barrels/valves.

NO. The only thing that makes this gun more then crap is the fact it can reach 110 feet or so with a good barrel and seal. UNplugged.

Yeah, this is currently broken. If anyone has it, do not pull anything or stress the valves/triggers/any of the connecting plastic! It breaks, it was by accident too.

I was utterly disappointed because the barrel selector had broken. As in, I couldn't change the barrel and I was stuck on the third barrel. I wouldn't of opened it up in the first place.

Trust me, don't buy it just to single it. It's fun while it still works. I'm sure I saw a writeup in the directory where the barrels where rebarrel with Petg and made 45+ ranges.

I singled each side with a CPVC coupler, and it is not worth it. I was getting 50' max with 20 pumps, and it is ridiculously hard to put back together, and you have to keep the stupid side laser to keep the gun from collapsing while you use it.

A lot of us go to Nerf Wars and 50 feet isn't going to cut it. But 110 will.

Because range is everything, right?

The truth is, different people look for different things in a war-practical blaster. Just because something doesn't hit triple digits in range tests doesn't make it "useless".

The fact that this gun needs so much pumping makes it useless.

this blaster is utterly useless... I give elwood props for finding a single use for it...

Anyone that does not have one needs to shut the fuck up about singling it. the blaster is complete junk...

elwood... the way the valve is you could make a smaller cpvc airtank and get your ranges with much less pumping.

Once again.... with exception of using the shell for some sort of psychotic integration scheme the blaster is of no use whatsoever. It wont even entertain a 6yr old one they figure out how much of a pain in the ass it is to shoot.

If I see a parent in the store looking at one I stop and tell the "Do not buy that blaster unless it only costs $5" and then only if your kid just wants to run around pretend it shoots.

If anyone wants to I can make a serious review of the blaster listing all its faults and problems but Its just too much work....

Don

I agree with Mr. Badwrench. I have this gun and the only thing I would of thought to used it for before was parts. It has a nice trigger, pump, and airtank... and thats it. The rest of the gun is just about utter crap.
