Here is my Lock N' Load plunger tube replacement. The plunger tube body is made from the Titan pump tube (not the pump shaft). There is about 1/6" of 1/2" PVC in the end of the PT which has 1/6" of 1/2" copper tubing. There is a plastic washer fitted over the two and lastly there is a part of one of the barrels from an AT2K turret. Because there is no stabilizer on the new PT, it can turn while it is in the gun, but due to its slightly larger O.D. than the stock PT, it does not turn.

It gets an absolute PERFECT seal when I use my neoprene washer plunger head replacement...

That looks like a perfect fit. They look identical in the first picture (well size wise, not color). Thanks for the write-up.

Thanks. The new PT is a little thick to fit into the Ln'L shell at first, but with a little sanding it fits like a charm. Also, if you were wondering about the bolts on the side of the plunger rod, I was connecting the front and back part of the plunger rod (because....long story). Here's a picture:

That's pretty funny that the titan pump tube and the LnL PT are so similar.

But what exactly was the motive for the mod? Was your old PT broken? Does this one have more air volume? Edit: Does the replaced plunger head only work with this tube?

You say it improves the seal, is this because it has a smaller ID so the plunger head is snugger in it? Whoops, didn't see the plunger head replacement part at first.

Also, if the OD is too large for the shell and the PT won't turn, that means its being slightly smooshed, which would mean bad seal, so I'm surprised your seal is good. You a addressed this in the above post.

I may be missing something here. But this is definitely a great mod if you don't have an LNL PT or yours broke.

When I first replaced the plunger head hoping to improve the seal, I found that because the plunger tube gets smaller in diameter as it gets closer to the barrel (as it also does with the Crossbow I believe). Because the original plunger head is like this,

it is clear that the outer layer of the plunger head can adjust to the inner diameter of the PT. However, the replaced plunger head could not adjust itself. When the plunger was near the trigger (far from the barrel), it had a bad seal, whereas when the plunger was near the barrel (the farthest forward it can go), it had a perfect seal. I found this to be troublesome so I set out to find the perfectly fitting tube that I could use for the PT.

Yes. However, my ranges were pretty bad in the first place.

2.) Wouldn't the increased friction from the near-perfect seal (nothing's perfect) end up slowing down the plunger rod, therefore decreasing range? Either that or you need lots of lube....

1.) Well, I was playing around with the seal of the plunger in different tubes, then I needed to find a tube-like piece that could fit around the base of the barrel that was roughly the same size as the part on the stock PT. I am talking about the smaller tube part after the body of the PT. Anyway, I then looked around my messy room, full of random junk and found the AT2K barrel which looked as though it could have the right O.D.

2.) Not really. The seal was so amazing and yet it did not produce a large amount of friction. It obviously increased the friction, but not by a lot.
