This mostly happens to the FPS's that I run, and I have absolutely no idea how to fix this.
Please Help! If it helps, I know that I have a Radeon 9800 pro video card.

I used to have that problem until I got circumcised. 15 pounds later I was able to stand up straight.

This happens only FPS's, I can still play RTS's.
Edit: Whoops forgot the games. This happens on Battlefield 2, Couter Strike: Condition Zero, Serious Sam: Second Encounter.

Try turning vsync on by default through the driver control panel.I just called my brother who owns the computer, and he said it doesn't have a dual core processor. What Now?
Is it happening to games run in OpenGL or DirectX?

Either that or limit the frame rate, OpenGL is fairly old compared to DirectX so there might be a problem with the rendering speed. Renegade, do you run on DirectX 8 or 9? I know for a fact that the ATI 9800 does not support DirectX 10Renegademilitia15, on May 29 2009, 09:09 PM, said:

DirectX
Edit: I'm really sorry for being stupid here, but I have no idea where the driver control panel is. Is that the same as the windows control panel?

I know that its either Direct x 9-8. I'm not playing top of the line games here exactly.

You might also check your ping to the places that you are trying to connect to. really high ping on a FSP game will sometimes make it look as though you're hopping around from place to place.

Meh. those games could not need for that hardware to slow down for it to keep up. single core, hell you're system is probably barely able to run BF2. The other two older games should rin fine. I'd say update your driver for the video card. Have these games run no problem in the past on your system?

Since last week, these games have been running perfectly. And this happens when I'm playing single player mode. No multiplayer.
