Please don't flame me for this I just wanted some input.

Ok, so I got this Longshot. Right now it has a BBB spring with AR removal. I've attached a reflex sight to it as well as some ammo holders. I want to single this but I cannot find a full write up on how to on the forums. I know there are TONS of other possibilities but I need YOUR INPUT.

Do not single it. That is my suggestion. Anything else is really up to you. We have a modifications directory, and a whole thread dedicated to longshots.

In my opinion, singling the longshot defeats it's purpose. If you want a long range weapon, go for a big bad bow. The longshot is an "assault rifle" and nothing more. If I were you, I would not single it and reinforce the bolt sled with fiberglass or something similar before it blows up on you. It makes an excellent primary after you reinforce it and don't single it.

How about taking it to a war and NERFING with it. Then you'll see how ridiculous and completely ineffective that sight is.

Three steps to this decision:

1- Go to a Nerf war and use it.

2- Mod it to overcome any disadvantages that become prevalent.

3- Repeat as necessary.

Who said I would leave the sight on it? It is cosmetically pleasing for the photo.

Yo, yo, man! Don't get hostile. He's right. You never said you were just using it for photo aesthetics. It's actually implied that you would use it in a war.


Now, if anything, I would go with Atomatron on this one. Test it, then modify it. Don't salt your soup before you taste it.
