Hey everybody!
So, I've been working on a magstrike lately, and i decided it was time to give it a paintjob. I wanted to do a white and black stripe pattern, so i grabbed a can of white, and got to work. The can was close to empty when i found it, but i knew there was another can. I ended up getting a light coat on the gun before i ran out, and i went to get the other can, but as soon as I picked it up, I realized it was empty. So now i am stuck with a magstrike shell looking like this at least until i get another can of white

The problem is it is pink and white. Think it is sick I want to try that and see what happened.

I think he's is dissapointed that he has to use a pink and white gun untill he can get more paint. He think's it looks girly.

It's pretty clear he was painting a red Magstrike and ran out of white paint.

Wait, what? I opened this thread looking to answer a painting related question. Instead you have posted your predicament and then wrote a solution at the end (buying a new can). Nobody really cares about it unless you need help on something, you're posting a guide, or the PJ is awesome enough that it deserves its own thread.

In the future prime your guns first.

Use a can of fucking primer next time. It's thicker and blocks out the darker-than-white (ANYTHING) you're painting, giving you a white surface to work with. Also, it bonds better than a second or third coat of white paint. Only problem is it's harder to get an even coat of primer, at least in my experience.

Fuck primer! Use vinyl dye. They even make it in white.

Yeah, the places where the coverage was spotty aren't the best, but overall it's cool.

Absolutely not! I happen to enjoy the pink and white color scheme. So what if it's pink. I have a bright pink SM750 that I call the Pink Blowdryer Of Death. Just leave it the way it is because, quite honestly, the paintjob is remarkably good for just spray paint if I read correctly.

EDIT: Never mind. The dumbshit just put his response in the quote. Fifth line of text.

2 coats of primer. 3 coats of color of choice. Do the detailing. 2 coats of clear coat. Problem solved.
